Boring, generic pop punk IMO. Immature lyrics, uninspired musicianship, unimpressive compositions.

^We're not at liberty to dictate someone's music taste. She wanted to share her passion, and I think that should be commended if anything and not, in anyone's opinion, 'corrected'.

See I knew this would happen, hence the lack of a Muse thread from me :P

Since when did generic pop punk get classed as better than generic pop punk?

You can't necessarily fault someone for taste, though I heavily dislike pop-punk in general.

I only like one Muse track, and that's Supermassive Black Hole because it was on FIFA 07 :gawe:

James Blunt, Mika and Matt Cardle through and through =D

You're a brave person to admit that here :P

Also, Matt Bellamy's vocal range is terrible- a castrated mouse could hit higher notes than him. Hence why Muse is awful.

BOT: MCR is...ok. I'll listen to them occasionally.

It is possible to fault people who argue against you without reason or room for opinion(in my experience deathcore fans (no, not Skiit)), but generally if you dislike something you generally get annoyed at the fanbase rather than the band.

Well, the ones I've listed have much higher range  :p

But yeah, he does have a rather high range.

Please get a rational argument. They are not "ghey", I just personally dislike them and pop punk in general.

Although you can use that method on deathcore fans in my experience.

Green day's singles are good, but their what I call album fillers are garbage.

Guess who has their 'The Singles' album? =DD

Really, so long as anything isn't too poppy and doesn't contain to many hooks (unless it's My Sharona in which case it pwns), I can usually cope with it.

Oh, and me no like Screamo vocals.

Rammstein, Biffy and Muse are my favourite live bands, by far. Their shows are just insane.

Damn you, o mighty Naryar, you beat me to it.

I'm somewhat indifferent towards MCR. I was talked into buying Three Cheers (it was £4, and I got some early KSE with it too), and it's not too bad. Few songs on it that I like, but they're not up there with bands like Tool, Rise Against or Gallows. At least in my view.

I'd agree with you on the whole, but I'm a huge convert to Last Night on Earth after one of my friends started singing it at lunchtimes.

I personally find MCR quite boring.

Regarding live stuff, the only concert I've ever been to, for complicated reasons, is an a-ha one for my mother's birthday once. Happily, I'm now booked to go and see Big Star next year.

Off-topic, but I've seen BNL live twice. The first in Liverpool in which we met Steven Page (the former front man. A bit stuck up, I must say) and in Cambridge we met Tyler Stewart (the drummer) in Cambridge's city centre. A bloody lovely fellow, I must say :thumbup

Anyway, BNL are probably one of the few bands that are actually better live than on the Albums. Do we have any BNL fans in GTM? (not expecting there to be any)

Haven't seen BNL live but I enjoy their "Rock Spectacle" live album.  Do you have it?

MCR does nothing for me.  I vaguely remember their being a MCR song on Rock Band for 360... or maybe it was Lego Rock Band... I have not played either in a while, that's not a good thing. I should remedy that soon.
