I think there actually is a Forgot Password button when you login, I dont remeber if its there or not because I have automatic login enabled when steam starts.

Nothing is working. I keep trying to enter my email, but it says it's invalid.

Then you must have used another email address / not verified the email address. You're screwed, but you've learned your lesson.
