You really can't call any music objectively bad. I mean,  I guess you can but there's no real point. If someone enjoys a song, can it even be bad? I like some really "bad" artists, and dislike a lot of "good"  music by "better" artists. Music is too subjective to be called objectively good or bad.

I think a lot of music leaves ideas too undeveloped or can be written in a way that contrasts with its core themes or principles. Hard to say otherwise, but I think there is an objective element when it comes to discussion within genre vs out of genre. Can't call an entire genre bad but you could say that old Kendrick is worse than new Kendrick and so on.

Tbf, I only like The Devil's Bleeding Crown and A Warrior's Call from Volbeat. Their other songs seem a bit slower and less energetic to me, from what I've heard, anyway. I may try looking into their discography a bit more to find a song like them.

yeh their style is pretty weird and kinda not my thing but i can appreciate it a lot and it's almost always super catchy. also pretty heavy at times like on Room 24 which makes sense cus the main dude's previous band Dominus was pretty meaty

As far as unique artists go there is this band from my hometown of Richmond, Va that has been active since the early 90's. They put on one crazy live show, however I have never been able to pin their style down. Yes it is rock but there are other elements mixed in.

Song: The Boxer
Artist: Carbon Leaf
Album: Echo Echo
Released: 2001
Genre: Rock/Celtic Fusion

I just spent way too much on this CD. After shipping and everything, it came out to around $40. For 30 minutes of music.

Just listened to Volbeat's new album, all the tracks were solid apart from Black Rose. Seal the Deal was the best by far though.

Also found some cool bands on Bandcamp recently

Not sure about the album but, along with Devil's Bleeding Crown, I've been listening to Seal the Deal for a while now. It's a brill song.

On the one hand, weeb trash
On the other, best band I've ever bloody heard

Why is Babymetal's music so good but their branding so cancerous.

Also, this:

Which is also a great song, and about as far from Babymetal as you can get. All the songs from "Anyone Out There" is great, with a couple exceptions. Even weirder, just listened to this song on spotify, the auto-volume has REALLY janky with this song. How odd.
