So I recently got into Electronic (Even Dubstep) a few months back here is a little gem from 90's act La Bouche which I always request when a livestreamer has songrequest on

It has a very distinctive piano groove in it which makes the beat unique.
Let me tell you something I learned through life... The weakest link in the chain isn't always the failure point.

La Bouche did good things.

Though this one... there are better 90's eurodance tunes, i feel.

let's start by the classics from it :

Disturbed are back! Now my joint favourite bands are both active and they'll surely both touring at some point. Hopefully I'll be able to see them at Download next year.

People are saying this new song is underwhelming. I don't think that at all. They sound like Disturbed have always sounded, in my opinion. This isn't me defending them just because I'm big fan of theirs, it's my honest opinion on this awesome song they've come out of hiatus with.

most "white belt grind" is just people playing deathcore with less melodeath but that's pretty solid in comparison.
I don't listen to brutal death as much as I used to, but the broader genre is still my thing and I still listen to Wormed, Abysmal Torment and Disgorge from time to time.

i hate the idea of deathcore as a genre. metalcore is metalcore, i file the brutal with the technical and anything particularly brutal is just modern death to me. keeps my itunes in check. ive personally never heard much grind with any melodeath influence, if any at all. im actually curious to hear some if you have any!

as someone who was completely engulfed in that scene when it was big and as it still holds the biggest soft spot in my brutal little heart outside of my thrashy hardcore punk, i find the best way to describe it is a fusion of technical metal a-la dillinger escape plan with thier spastic, stop start jazz elements holding hands with early hardcore influenced grind in the sense of incorperating our good old heavy 4/4 breakdowns (or in the case of the jazzier of the bunch, like daughters, sawtooth grin or as the suns sets, 3/4 or stranger). they skip together joyfully through a sea of chronic blast beats, making the world of grind a happier place for those not too kvlt and br00tal to take grindcore purity too seriously

(oh! now that i think about it, the first number twelve looks like you had some very melodic tendencies, check the double guitar solo at the end of jesus and tori... i always felt they drew that a little more from old school screamo roots than melo-death in that sense but that solo screams otherwise)

now im just beating off all over my keyboard though. let me shut up haha

im listening to

the great redneck hope - god, are you there? please help me stop masturbating

I'd have said the majority of generic deathcore bands (the Carnifex-es of the world and similar) often draw upon little bits of melodeath influence, such as the occasional gothemburg esque riff, even if they don't really have melody as a focus.

Found out about Rings of Saturn a couple of months ago, such a good band. The guitar work is amazing. I love the vocalist too, how he can go from growls to almost pig squeals in an instant is very cool.

Every time they're mentioned I think of:

I really do like this song but more of nostalgia's sake. I haven't listened to too much of their other stuff.
