How do you really feel towards newcomers to this forum?

i feel sorry for them. the game has advanced so much its nearly impossible for them to really build anything that great, and end up dispirited.

I think the forum needs more members so i don't care as long as they don't get annoying.

That said, I feel respect for the guys who keep at it and finally do get decent and even good. But newcomers who overuse smilies, exclamation marks, and need help with everything are really, really annoying. but i try to help them anyways.

Personally, I help newbies that seem worthy, that is, do have proper behaviour in this forum as newcomers.
The others, well, whack.

I will help out and welcome any new members who follow the rules and don't act like a 10 year old. If they don't follow the rules, I won't be the one who starts a stupid argument with one of them, I'll just try to help them act better... if they don't then I'll just ignore them.

If they can post at least five readable posts with good grammar, they're fine. But if the don't...
...Imagine Rabid Pit Bull and Neglected Water Bug attacking the crappiest lightweight possible.

That means Pys and Inf attacking them. I like the ones that show promise, but don't like ones that are annoying.

I think you could have left some better choices for us to pick from. 3 out of 4 of them are at least partly negative...
I think some of us are a bit cruel to new members, and some of the new members dig their own grave. Its all in how they present themselves in their first few posts. A first impression IS important, believe it or not. So basically, I don't jump on every new member who happens to find their way here and treat them like fresh meat. We can't base how one new person is going to act because of the actions of people in the past.
