Title: Making a RA2 website.
Post by: RpJk on October 10, 2011, 12:04:17 AM
What I am going to do is to make a website about RA2 that does not get blocked by my schools C2K network and it will mostly focus on weapon types and strategys against others with a famous robot in RA2 as an example.

So I am wondering can I get some help with planning beecause I need the name to sound like an educantional website but have something to do with RA2?

Why not just wait to get home before you go to GTM?

Sorry dude but I see no point in making a website. Your total target audience is less than 100 people, most of which already are experienced in RA2 and have no need to read about it. You also might want to work on your writing skill before trying to write a website. Also your schools web filter probably blocks free websites so unless you are willing to pay around $10 at minimum a month for hosting service your website wont serve it's intended purpose.

So should I wait until robot combat gets a bit bigger or should I ditch the idea?

Though I'm not sure, if your intended purpose of this is to get some RA2-related access at school, you could try a proxy instead of creating an entire website.

That is my intended purpose and what is a Proxy?

Just connect to a different network at school, or you could bring your internet adapter or something, and connect though that.

My school banned self internet adapter's ages ago like they did with mobile phones and Thats the only connection around my school.

My only way is ask my teacher to say to C2K to not block my website.

Without Wikipedia's convoluted wording, a proxy is basically a website that you can type addresses into to get to any other website without actually being on them since technically you're on the proxy website.

this is how i get on GTM at school

1. go to google translate.

2. translate Gametechmods.com to another language. (i use spanish.)

3. when it's loaded, translate it back to your language.

C2K HAS BLOCKED GTM.

Actually GTM would really benefit if some people got permablocked from accessing it .
