Here is some copypasta of a post of mine from that handsome forum (http://bb.elecplay.com) I administrate.
Apple just announced the iPhone OS 4.0. Notable features to be included:
An Xbox Live-esque gaming platform
Opening up things like maps to third party apps
iAd--a new unified system of HTML5-based ads
These will all be available on the iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3rd Gen around June. 3G iPhones and 2nd Gen Touches will only be compatible with some of the features (multitasking is a no-go). iPad will receive an update in fall. Unfortunately, no mention has been made about 1st gen iPhones and Touches. Damn it! That means I might have to buy a new phone this year. (I guess my contract is up anyway.)
EDIT: Still no Java or Flash. In fact, when asked if they're planning on incorporating those elements, Jobs gave a flat out, "No."

Ooo sweet, I was gonna have a summer job around june and I've been thinking about getting an iPod touch with some of the cash.

Crap. Well, I'll just stick to Backgrounder I guess, or **ck around the framework and enable it for the 3G.

Actually, using

Is a very hacky way of getting a margin in bbcode, since it translates to
<ul class="someSMFCSSClass">some element</ul>
Which makes no sense.

Looks like apple soo wants to compete with android.
Android is a more well rounded and user friendly IMO. Their products are literally screaming "BUY ME!"

Apple is such a freakin joke, People claim the Iphone is the best smart phone out but it still doesn't have basic smart phone features. It took a 3rd generation Iphone to implement basic copy and paste, basic video recording features and a whole lot other things I'm not going to rant about. WM, Symbian , WebOS, and Android 2.1(Open source OS's)FTW :evilsmile: . And who wants to bet the 4th generation Iphone is going to look like the rest except for an extra letter on the end like what they did for the 3GS Ha.

I agree about the subjective part. Because when it comes down to picking a cellphone it depends on what features the person needs in their lives every day, so the best smart phone will always be subjective IMO . I'm just sick of Iphone users and cellphone reviewers comparing every new touchscreen phone that comes out to the Iphone like it is the best smart phone thats all :smile: .

Whether you like it or not, the iPhone is the top dog. It may not have the most features, but it's the most recognizable smart phone on the market. That's why everything is compared to it.

The main reason why it's a the most recognizable phone is because when it first came out it was a fashion statement owning a Iphone= I'm cool and their is some truth behind that and then their is that other percentage who actually bought the phone for it's features. IMO the Top Dog phones are the HD Res phones with the screen res of 480x800 and up. The sorry 320x480 res the IPhone boasts is last years news :evilsmile: .

Other than that it looks neat (but Droid came up with most of it :P)

From what I understand, iAd will just be a unified standard for ads that are generally only found in free apps. So instead of having banner ads that take you to Safari, you get HTML5 banner ads that expand within the same app.

Apple still doesn't recognize that their virtual keyboard sux. And having only 1 button on the front interface also blows. They need to add more hardware because their fail gave another company 2009's best gadget of the year award.

I actually like the virtual keyboard and only one face button. The simplicity of the interface is one of the things I like most about Apple products.

^^^^^QFT. I run W7 HD in my phone and can run Android 2.1 from my memory card. And I have to say I love Android 2.1 :heart_smiley: .
