How do you listen to music while out?

I kinda want to update the way I listen to music. I use a 2007 iPod Nano, 8gb, and it's served so well, outliving an iPod Touch easily, but I don't like having all my stuff on 1 device for some reason, plus I love the tactile feedback you get from an Apple clickwheel.
How outdated am I?

Just use whatever works. Seriously. I used a Zen Stone Plus for several years (I think it was 2006-2012) and after I finished my GCSEs, my dad bought me an iPod Touch 4G, and I worked that to its inevitable falling death last week (well, the headphone jack was half broken, didn't grip the actual headphone properly, as well as only playing through both ears when the cable was at a certain angle (wasn't the headphones as they worked perfectly when I used them with my laptop)), and it didn't help that the case was knackered too... as well as the battery life. I now use a 64GB iPod Touch 5G, and will work that until it dies. I don't want to get an iPhone, otherwise I could run it out of battery listening to music/playing games and go 'oh, I need to make a phone ca-.... oh'.

Speaking of outdated technology, my phone is so very old. I think it is the Nokia 2323 C. I could upgrade it, but I don't really need anything more than a phone. Sure, a qwerty keyboard might be nice, but this is durable and does phone things, I don't really need anything else. If you don't need anything more from your iPod then it's probably not worth changing for the sake of changing.

Due to my pretty big music library, I use an iPod Touch with 32 gigs and it has served me well so far.

I think this is kinda my view. My phone's capable of doing it all but I like the layout of what I use, plus the battery life on my Nano is so much better than even the Touch I had at it's peak.

I use my Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini to either stream music on YouTube or listen to the stuff I've downloaded, I mostly stream the music though. I really should copy the songs from my albums from my computer onto my phone but I cba. I never really liked IPod Shuffles and stuff like that, I don't have enough songs to fill entire device devoted to music, so I just use my phone.

Hah, snap on having the S3 Mini, but I'm the other way round with music library size. My 8gb Nano is nowhere near enough to hold 55.67gb of music... oops.

You can put a 64gb Micro SD card in an android phone, although they're expensive

Just keep using the nano until it inevitably dies, and then buy another one with more memory. The only reason I stuck with an iPod Touch is because there are a few apps I need to keep, I just upgraded from 32GB to 64GB so now I can have more offline Spotify music, as well as better battery life and a headphone cable that actually stays in and doesn't require me to turn it repeatedly to make it work properly. Interface and internet are slightly better than the 4G, but it really doesn't make much difference.

The Nano is amazing. I wouldn't want to put a 64gb memory card in my phone for the simple fact I prefer using the Nano. The tactile feedback and the way I could literally throw it around and it'd be fine are both amazing.

i can see where you are coming from, my iphone 4 is at least 2 years old, probably 3 and i cant have more than 1 app open for long, the battery is old and terrible. it doesnt run out of battery, gets to ~10% at worst

I use my PlayStation Vita for music. Even though it's annoying to walk around with, its easier to switch to games on the fly so for example when I'm getting on the bus being able to switch from listening to music to getting back playing something like God of War or Mortal Kombat is easier instead of having to waste a minute digging into my bag just to find it.

I use my ultimate SanDisk MP3/FLAC player on the go! (It's a clip-zip, but it's fairly small, and holds 4 GB of music)

I generally don't listen to music while out. If I'm going on a long(More than two hours) I just watch TV shows loaded onto a PSP.
