Havok Exporter Install Error (solved)
« on: May 21, 2010, 07:49:19 PM »
I get this when trying to install the Havok Exporter (version 1.5.008)
I'm running Windows XP, no Service Packs, in VirtualBox. I've simply tried everything. Uninstalling, Reinstalling and Repairing. Nothing helps.

I know the issue and I know the fix... if I could remember :P

you have to delete some plugins but cannot recall which ones (Serge knows)

you just run a search for all plug ins with a particular name in the filename and delete then it will work

Do you need the Havok Exporter for 3ds Max 5.1 as well?

Ok. But you don't need the Havok Exporter for 3ds Max 5.1? Is it a built-in?

You don't need the Havok Exporter when using 5.1 (since it's already built in, and called Reactor), only when using 4.2.

If I recall well the difference between them is minimal, and the Gabriel GMA exporter works with both of them.

Well, because it's the proper, vanilla, sure-fire way of exporting components :P.
