My view exactly.

I think this might be a problem, people can't really be bothered listening to all the songs. I've already got a couple on my comp, so I skipped their vids. I just got my votes out of the way.

I thought the main point of this contest was to expose each other to new bands that we could newly appreciate. 

Anybody that says "I can't be bothered to listen to all the songs" is copping out because they are too lazy to find out if the other songs might actually appeal to them.  And then choosing a mainstream song by a mainstream artist... where is the adventure in that?  Don't get me wrong, I am not going to go on a Michael Jackson Bashing rampage, but really... all the other songs deserve a listen.

I mean c'mon.  We have MONTH to listen to all the songs.  You can open an additional browser tab and play the music in the background while posting on GTM.  Some of you post 10-20 (maybe even more) times a day on the forum, so you really don't have an excuse.

Well, considering my entry was a local unsigned act, not too bad at all.  By the way, that monster playing bass is the Ogre you guys are pushing to sign up here.  And if you know where to look, you can even catch of glimpse of yours truly in that video.  That show was INSANE

I agree.  I've missed more hours of work to go to their shows than i care to count. You should hear the rest of their set.  Not a bad song in the lot.  Unfortunately, one of the guitarists recently left the band, but they're still trudging forward.

Haha, third =D I'm a huuuuge VersaEmerge fan, that's one of their older songs though. A while after I entered that song, they released their first full length and so far it has good reviews and I like it.

I just found the song in Windows Vista sample music. But I wish I'd entered the other Posies song in there now. It's much better.
