I think the list needs some cleaning up. Some categories just seem a bit pointless or are similar to another category. The ones in red, I think should be removed.

Okay guys, here are the categories from last year - we need to finalize any changes/additions/removals :)
You can begin thinking about who to vote for but please don't vote yet xD

If other people agree to taking any of those out, it may be done.

Also, Nary, last year we had this
https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php/topic,9233.msg461548.html
and this
https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php/topic,9232.msg464489.html

I could just put them into one.

Does anyone know the scoring system we had for it? Because it's all points and stuff.

it was
1st (best bot builder) = 7 pts
2nd = 6 pts
3rd = 5 pts
(etc)
7th = 1 pt

What ? No Top 5/10 Stock and DSL builders ?

That was a different set of awards - Awesumsauce offered to run those in GCT.
yes i did, you want me to make the thread now?
How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

Shouldn't there be a best overall builder and modder award, and not just for newbies?

And I personally think most surprising tournament, Best new ai.py, and half the forum awards are pointless.

Edited list - a lot of things like 'Best Contributor' are covered by Best Advice and the Modding awards, so check this out. Also got rid of/combined a few Forum Awards, and added a few on the end. What d'you guys think?

Better...I still think a few are not needed or should be changed.

Most Enthusiastic: Don't really care who wins this. Plus, it's similar to most friendly.
Biggest Show-Off: How do I vote for this? Can a person even show off on GTM?
RA2 Wizard: Needs a different name or there will be Sage Rage.
Favourite Real Robot Builder: Should go under Building Awards.
Favourite GTM-built Robot: I think the votes will be much too diverse for this sort of thing.
Most Unique Bots/Best Bot Designer: One of these should go.
Favourite Champion Bot: Why have this when there's already Favourite Tournament Entry?
Best Final: See above.

I still have suggestions for Most Misleading Rep and Favourite BOTM Winner (the bot, not the builder).

I'd have to disagree with all the suggestions for ones to remove, quite frankly. But I like the sounds of best BOTM winner.

I think the best contributor for the non-RA2 stuff is kinda not represented at all with the current changes. How about "Best Debater" or "Best Contributor to non-RA2 discussion"?

In my honest opinion this is an RA2 forum. Although many of us have lost our focus i think the awards should retain it.

However Best BOTM Winner is a great idea.

That's extremely neglectful. Much while I think that RA2 is the primary purpose of the site, it would be ridiculous to attribute no contribution awards to the non-RA2 areas based on that principle, especially considering how a bunch of the awards still present apply to other areas of the forum.

These are the GTM awards, not the RA2 awards.
