I was wondering if the Alienware M11x was a good gaming laptop... I've been saving up money for awhile, and my current laptop sucks and isn't much of a gaming one... so is it a good choice?
yes/no?

Too expensive, Gaming laptops aren't really that good, but if I'd were to choose almost any asus computer would give you the best bang for the buck, and best customer care

The new Advent Romas seem pretty good, it's only the battery life which lets them down. Other than that, THEY ARE BEASTLY.

Don't get
Dells Alienwares. They're overpriced. Also, gaming laptops make no sense - the battery life is laughable, you might as well buy a desktop for way less.
Get an Asus, Toshiba or Lenovo.
-
I was either going to do that or buy the parts off of NewEgg.
-
Parts for a desktop, not a laptop, right?

Do they not have laptop parts?
Bah, that's OK I guess. I can just buy one that's in a $600ish price range...

I'm sorry if I sound like a total n00b. :P
I guess buying a new laptop's the only way then, eh?
I was looking at Asus laptops, and they're pretty nice a must say.

Get a tower PC, there is a AMDquadcore Asus mid tower going for 450 at bestbuy.

Never buy a Toshiba laptop WITHOUT LOADS OF MEMORY
Mines fine apart from THE STUPID MEMORY
Battery life messes up a bit but oh well

The new Toshibas are quite good, I don't know why you say that... Plus, I've had an old Satellite for about 7 years now, never had any problem with it hardware-wise.

I say that because I had a Toshiba a few years ago and it broke roughly every 3 months, had terrible battery life and next to no memory.
But I don't know anything about the new ones.
Currently on an Acer Aspire 5542G: that meets all my requirements, reliable too!
