Famous 50's actress Debbie Reynolds just died at 84 just after her daughter Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) had passed. God, just let this damn year end now. We've had too many celebrity deaths in 2016. :realmad(

Get ready for more in 2017. It's nothing to do with the year, it's just that people who were famous in the 80s are getting old now.

Thank goodness time isn't just an arbitrary number that continually goes on at the same rate as it always has. When the new year rolls in, I'm sure that everyone famous is going to breathe a sigh of relief that they survived, and aren't going to die at all.

Concept of celebrity is getting old. Prepare for more of the same.

At least 100 died in a cold snap that affect east Asia, hundreds perished because of the category 5 Hurricane Matthew, an insurgency has ravaged the Democratic Republic of The Congo, India has lost footing in economic growth and two famous relatives died. [sarcasm]The last one's so important, man. I hear Taylor Swift broke a nail and lost $75,000 from a photo shoot in April too![/sarcasm]

People get old MNB. It's life. Then they die. As Kurt Vonnegut said these two things a lot in Slaughterhouse-Five, "So it goes." "And so on." Someday, it will happen to all of us.

Truthfully, you know I don't give a rat's ass if anything happens to her. Actually Dreamcast, I think she's a bit overrated! And you're right, it's sad that people die in natural disasters or terrorism, and it's even worse than celebrity deaths.

You seem to be missing the point. What he's trying to say is that Debbie Reynolds, just like Taylor Swift, is just a person. It honestly shouldn't matter to you if either of them die, or if they suffer from a small or insignificant injury/loss.
