Well time to tell you how the concert was...
It was awesome! Carbon leaf were interacting with the crowd and they were full of energy, the fireworks were awesome too.

I've seen Muse and The Killers live both with my sister, unfortunately the only two live music shows I've been to.

Muse in 2007.
The Killers in 2008.

Can't remember if they're the correct years, my memory is not what it used to be - 's terrible.

Edit: Forgot to mention, my sister made me skip school to see the shows, hah!

The only 2? Well, a pretty good 'only 2' to be honest :P Muse are totally worth skipping school for. I did in 2010. And you saw them before they started getting bad! Always good :P

A Dethklok fan? Cool, I used to like them alot :)

But not anymore?

I'll admit.  I'm more a fan of the show than the music.  But after watching some youtube videos of the man behind it all, I will say that I am impressed with his skill.  It was the most appealing concert that was offered to me with the raffle prize.

The other choices were: Megadeth (old and dated IMO) or  Twizted (don't care for that music at all) or Clutch (was a fan in the 90's... not familiar with their current stuff)

Dethklok seemed like the best choice of the four.  I would say that I am a moderate fan, but might come back a stronger fan depending on how the show goes.  :D

No, I still like them, just not as much. You're right though, Brendon Small has a lot of pure unsalted talent.

Megadeth would've been pretty cool to me though, although they might not have any newer stuff.

Seriously though I used to be a flaming fanboy for Dethklok back then, the type how you'd see in the show. Looking back on it I feel a little silly but they're still a pretty good band.

Megadeth was good when I saw them last year. it's been a while since Thirt3en so I imagine they've narrowed their set down to their best songs.
Dethkolk is fun but I prefer the show to the band, though Brandon has some shred-cred.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting much but I really enjoyed their set.. much more than Slayer and probably Anthrax too. Not fair to compare them to Metallica though, because they got the stage show..

I enjoyed Slayer the most (probably because Gary Holt replaced Jeff Hannemann for the tour, and Gary is the god of thrash or something), followed by Megadeth, then Metallica. Anthrax felt a bit energy-less as Scott wasn't there.

Still, given Testament and Exodus's success they should be headlining stuff more often hahah. We Britisher's need more good thrash at these festivals, rather than pseudo-thrash like 'Tallica and Anthrax (Worship Music was decent though, and early Anthrax is more or less perfect).

Eh, I saw Slayer and Anthrax the year before.. and Scott was there, which was cooler. As for Slayer, all their songs sound pretty similar to me live so I had no huge desire to watch them twice. Gave us a good break anyway, and since I had to look after my 13yo sister it gave us an opportunity to get away from the 2nd barrier (where we were for Megadeth) and move towards the back for 'Tallica.

But Biffy stole the weekend. :P

Opeth, Gojira and Alestorm did that for me. Alestorm is much better live than on album.
Opeth was slightly disappointing because they played a lot of their Heritage stuff which wasn't so good but they have some sweet tracks.

Also, I found that Slayer had decent variety in their set. War Ensemble, Angel Of Death, Dead Skin Mask, South Of Heaven and Seasons In The Abyss were all there and that was pretty decent. Gary was awesome as usual too, much better than Kerry who's just tired these days.

Didn't see Gojira or Alestorm.. Saw some Opeth but I was a little bored of it, they seemed to be playing soft stuff at the time.
But yeah, barrier for Weezer and Biffy, 2 of my all time favourite bands so I wasn't complaining.

Yeah well Opeth cranked the good stuff every now and then.
