Can someone tell me where to find a free gif editor that doesn't add stuff into your gifs when it saves? My current one is a trial of Adgif and it does this to whatever you save in it.

try Jasc Animation Shop 3, if I can find it on my comp I'll find a way to get it to you

That could explain it.  I might be wrong, but I think I left shortly after the collapse of B4B.  I remember joining RA-Reborn, but I don't think I was around when it collapsed.

No, I joined shortly before he was banned from the official RA1 forums (back when they had that dark gray color scheme).  I think maybe a month before.
