The two questions I wanted to ask about Fraps is. Does Window Movie Maker 2.6 Reduce the size of the video using fraps? And Does the downloads of recording go to the Internet or the computer?
-
Re worded:
I have FRAPS, and does WMM support it? Also, do the videos go to the internet strait away or to my computer?
-
look at the videos on my youtubechannel. I put the videos from fraps in wmm and uploaded it on yt. why should the videos go to the internet?
-
WMM isn't the best software though...

Fraps is WMM compatible. WMM can only support a max of 720p, so you will lose a bit of quality. The videos will get saved onto your computer, usually into your documents folder.

You have to buy FRAPS BTW, it ain't free. Costs 20 bucks if I remember.

Best codec for stuffing stuff to YouTube is h.264, since that's the format used natively. This results in a much higher quality, since no recompression takes place.
I usually record using the built-in FRAPS codec (which is lossless) and then recompress to MP3 (via lame) and h.264 (via x264, but that's just personal preference). My tool of choice for doing this sort of work is VirtualDub, but it's a powerhouse, so its learning curve is quite steep.

I use FRAPS codec, than compress to .avi. What is h.264? I've never heard of it...

avi is not a compression algorithm. It's a container.
