Screen "Leaking" Colors
« on: March 23, 2011, 10:09:42 PM »

Uhm.. This is weird... Ive recently noticed that my screen is like.. Kinda leaking the colors around to the right side :\

Like, The background is black & Theres a white block in the middle, Well, To the left of the block its normal but to the right the block kinda continues fading more & More till its gone :S

Its almost not noticable besides when the contrast of the 2 things is big...

Like, This is the normal pic: (I see the thignies, Tell me if you see the bar fading or not)

But I see it like this: (Im trying to edit it to look like I have it, While I have it)

I think I exagerated it a bit.. IDK, Coz I get those thingies while I try to do those thingies...

Its pretty annoying coz I do alot of Photoshop, And IDK what is really in the pic & What is my screen being weird :S

Its almost not noticable for colors, Only black & White or something with alot of contrast with eachother, But you do notice it a bit even if the contrast between the 2 colors is not that high...

Any ideas? :S

(I exagerated the pics a bit) xP
But still, Something like that is happening, Also with the other things, But just edited the bar coz thats the most noticable ones.

When you mean old TV thingies, do you mean snow-like artifacts? If so, it probably means the graphics card is dying. My current card is doing just that, and when I can the get money pooled up, I'll likely be getting a new graphics card (likely a MSI Hawk/Radeon HD5770 or HD6870 Sapphire Flex, depending on just how much I have) and new monitor (that supports 1080p).

BTW, I also have an adaptor to connect to my PC, Coz the Screen's connector is different than my vid card's... Could that be the prob? :P

Probably not... but you could test it by simply plugging the monitor into another computer (laptop in the house perchance?).

I honestly think that it is just contrast wash, and you might have the brightness up too high. Set the brightness down a few ticks and see if that makes it go away.
