Post by: ianh05 on March 29, 2009, 08:16:49 AM: football (or soccer as it's known here in Aus) isn't that big in Australia surprisingly.. but we have to get pay tv to watch our own league but sometimes they have overseas matches on SBS (our foreign/international channel) which is free to air.

funny ain't it? most other sports can be found on the main channels.

Pretty sure you don't pay for NBC, FOX, CBS, or ESPN.

The NFL Network, yes, which only airs 2 games a season.

By the way Baseball and American Football are the only two sports that are good.

Without my Comcast Cable Box (800+ Channels & 150 High Def Channels) I still get 120 channels free.

Soccer is cool to watch, European League Soccer and Wolrd Cup only. The MLS is bullsh**. And only pussies play soccer.

thats right we have ABC, SBS, 7, 9 and 10 as our free to air channels. and i don't watch soccer anyway unless it's the world cup really. I'm a Rugby league fan.
