Has anyone here heard Monty on the Run (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpsN14TFy90)? I think it's the first video game soundtrack in history to actually have a guitar solo too.

Post by: Jack Daniels on April 02, 2010, 05:04:42 PM: The soundtrack for Mechwarrior 2 is Phenominal. Also, there was an obscure game for SegaCD called "Stellar fire", it had a pretty awesome soundtrack as well.

Agreed. Used it for Replica Wars along with some Kirby Superstar Ultra music.

Haha. Awesome. I love the music from that game. I once heard about a band that took music from that game and played it using traditional rock instruments (drums, bass, ele-guitar, etc) I forget the name of them though...

That one's pretty good, but Metroid Metal is not very consistent in quality. Here's another good one

Also might as well mention the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack contains probably the best music in the Mario series.
