Doctor Who
« on: August 13, 2012, 11:14:17 AM »

Does anyone else watch this? Please tell me you do, cause this show is one of the most brilliant series I've ever seen. Series 7 should be starting some time this month.

I'll be honest, I only started watching this recently. I really didn't take any notice of it till' I watched it one morning when nothing else was on, and I instantly become hooked on it. I didn't care for it cause I thought it was simply saving the world like any other sci-fi show I've seen. Then I watched it a couple times and realized it was much more than that. So far I've seen most of David Tennants and Matt Smiths runs. I'm planning on watching all the others seasons, all the way from 63' to now. I've become more hooked into this show than when I became hooked into MLP. That's just how much I've fallen in love with this show(implying that MLP is the best show I've ever watched, which it isn't, and also can't possibly be compared to this).

It went downhill when Russell T Davies left.

It was good for a little then it turned into a soap opera.

But yes. Kinda looking forward to the Pond's leaving, might make things a little interesting. New trailer looks good though.

Watch the Ecclestone stuff before you go back to '63. I did like his stuff, and was worried Tennant wouldn't live up to the awesomeness..
He did.

I'd like to think of Tennant's Doctor as sort of the "guy who all the other regenerations should look up to"

He was seriously all the things that The Doctor should be.

No. Constant 'I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.' got on my nerves.

Better than Matt Smith's incarnation. Matt Smith was too flamboyant for my tastes, whereas Tennant came extremely close to how quirky The Doctor should be.

Latest episode was awesome, and I don't even watch Doctor Who much. Can't wait for the next episode.

The last episode was awesome, it also helped me work out a lot about the rest of the episodes in the series.

Seems like it may be easier to follow this time... Roll on the next episode.

One thing niggled me though - Amy kept slapping Rory without getting her hand sore. He is made of plastic and if you keep plastic your hand gets sore after a while.

Very much agreed, Ecclestone was the best in my opinion.

I'm kinda disappointed about this, from a purely aesthetic point of view that is.

Matt Smith is by far my favourite Doctor. I personally find Rory annoying but I'll miss Amy, she was awesome. Still, her replacement looks gorgeous.

Saw the episode yesterday.

So, if the Daleks think hate is beauty, does that mean they are in love with the doctor?

Also, does the whole "Fire the doctor at a planet filled with insanely hateful Daleks compared to normal ones" plan count as a marriage proposal or a sexual act?

Put this onto your signature if you were part of this crappy fad in '03.
