How do we not have a thread for this?
Anyway, Doctor Who, discuss.
Anyone else excited about the new series starting tomorrow?
The website has been 'given special permission' to run 3 'astonishing images' that are 'big surprises' in 20 minutes from now (00:01 in the UK)
:D

i watched the first few episodes somewhere and then couldnt find where i watched them...

So much innuendo...

Just a few words.
OH MY GOD. THAT WAS... WHAAAAAT!?!? (In reference to the end)

Have you forgotten about Jenny? And Susan? Srsly?
-
I'm confused.

Have you forgotten about Jenny? And Susan? Srsly?
And you think Jenny and/or Susan have anything to do with it?
I believe it's nothing to do with the either and more to do with either
1) Amy's baby
2) The Doctor's death in the first episode. Maybe she took his regeneration energy then. Maybe she brings him back.
And hah, it was a confusing episode. Loads more questions, and very few answers... end of series is going to be immense.
-
Which one was Susan again? I remember Jenny was the backflip-through-the-lasers ponytail'd one.
"She jumped off of a rooftop!"
"She does that."
Great line there. XD

Susan was from way back when. Can't remember the exact year, as i wasn't actually alive :gawe:
-
The very first series of Doctor Who in 1963, she was the Doctor's granddaughter. The Doctor forced her to leave the TARDIS after the second story of the second series.

I doubt it's Dr's fem-clone, but I could be wrong.
Also, The new aliens are aresome. Silence, weeing angels... Stephen Moffat Paints terror, his canvas is our nightmares...

Okay, New episode yesterday.
Good or not?
-
Weird, ghosty lady person on a pirate ship.
-
I thought it was interesting.
-
"Yo ho ho!"
-
I quite enjoyed it.
-
This show stopped being good (IMO) when they chucked Chris, easily the best of the new doctors.
-
IMO I wouldn't say that he's the best of the three- they all took different cards to the table, being different personalites and stuff. :P
I think that they're all fairly equal.
-
David was the weakest IMO. I've also decided that I despise the new series because of all the Amy Belle plot points rather than anything varied.

But what about all those Rose plot points? And the Donna ones? :P
-
Good point.
But they really need to stop re-using characters and get a move on with going to funky hospitals run by homicidal cats.
-
Amy = hot.
Episode = okay.
Next week = looks amazing.
Matt Smith = a gritter, more interesting, less soppy Doctor than DT, but less 'hardcore' and more funny than CE.
-
I've forgotten the preview for next week already.

End of episode this evening was awesome. So many plot lines to follow though at the moment *_*
-
Starts again tonight :D
-
I should start watching this again, I stopped midway through DT's tenure.
-
Odd episode...
-
Odd episode...
Pretty much every episode lolololololololololol
-
true. :P
-
Very odd
Did much prefer the episodes before Matt Smith came in
-
Another incredibly odd episode...
-
I missed the last of last series and have thus kind of stopped watching in the hope that there will be repeats and I will be able to start from where I dropped.
-
Buuuump
This weeks episode was quite good, I wish I was called stormageddon when I was a baby...
But more importantly, there appears to be a 70s dalek in the trailer for the finale. How very interesting.
-
WHY was the baby called Stormaggeddon anyway? o.o
-
Greatly improved from some of the other recent episodes.
@Marty: you never know you could have been :gawe:
-
Nice episode.

Nawt true. It's a new one. Honest.
WHY was the baby called Stormaggeddon anyway? o.o
That's what it likes to be called, silly.

doctor what ?
oh it is this show with the daleks and formally dressed heroes and this time travel telephone booth the brits are overly fond of
-
Is it just me who found the last series really sh**? I miss the good days of Dr. Who, before Matt Smith came and the storylines became sh**e to mediocre, with the occasional good episode sprinkled in.
-
Thought series 9 was the best in years

Thought series 9 was the best in years
Yes, it's the best in years, but it was still a crap series. And don't get me started on the whole pointless looping castle episode.
-
It was a very interesting concept.
BTW when I said 'best in years' I also meant that I really enjoyed it. Was a great run.
