Title: Computer unnusually slow (SOLVED)
Post by: Preytor_4 on October 01, 2011, 02:36:58 PM
My computer has become rather slow lately, it used to play YT vids with only 1 buffer, now it takes 8 minutes for a 1 minute video to finish loading.

NFX suggested to defragment C:, but whe I try it gives this error:

And I've tried running chkdsk, and it still refuses to defragment.

Any insight upon this?

Have you downloaded anything to affect the connection?

Are you having issues with other sites or just Youtube?

I haven't tried any other sites, as YT is my main video website.

You got crap on your Windows installation.
a) If you haven't already, run an antivirus scan and a Malwarebytes scan
b) run a pre-boot checkdisk (google it)
c) defragment your hard drive

If that doesn't help:
a) reinstall your OS
b) upgrade your RAM
c) buy a new computer

Did all 3 of those, it appears to work now.
