Title: Childhood TV Shows
Post by: FOTEPX on January 10, 2011, 01:27:20 PM
Basically, what TV show did you watch the most growing up?

For me, Thomas The Tank Engine.

I remember watching this a few months ago, and I actually gave more of a crap about it than my 3 year old brother.

I suppose you don't even remember what you had seen of it with your own eyes, since you were so young...
Not really, it was series 3

I was old enough to watch it from start to finish.

The earliest episode I remember is... is... is... Cassius II vs Dundee

When I was 1, the closest thing to Robot Wars was an engineering class at MIT in which the final project was to build a 1-kg sumobot from a selection of preassigned parts.

I'm surpried that I'm the only one here whose first experiece of Robot Wars was the first episode of a season; in my case Series 3.

I think I actually managed to watch every single TV Episode on the original broadcast, except one. The Series 3 Heat that featured Evil Weevil and Flip Flop Fly. I was on holiday somewhere, and having dinner in a bar at that point, the Robot Wars intro started on the television in the corner, AND THEY PUT ON BBC NEWS INSTEAD. I was 7. I was also angry.

From the start of the episodes I remember, I only missed 1 episode in total.

1: The S4 heat with Morgue and Firestorm. I was at my friends house watching it eating doughnuts when the TV broke just as Bolt From The Blue's statistics were showing. There were about 10 angry 6 year olds hitting the TV.(I am remembering this from the original event, I am going to watch it on BBCrobotwarsUk's channel in a sec.)

After this we all went back to my house and got out the K'nex and played robot wars. I always won with 'Giant Blade'. The most epic K'nex bot EVAR

To be frank, when I was a kid (6 and up), I was slaving over my Windows XP listening to this sound for 5 minutes just trying to play neopets or connect to funnyjunk. Yes, I had dialup until 2006. Live with it.

Yeah, until 2006, I was swamped with a crappy 112k modem and AOL 7.

Then I got AOL 9.

Next thing I remember, I was cowering under my PC desk crying for momma.
