I downloaded Paint.NET: It's sh**.

don't use it for sprites, EVER.

And On a 6 year old PC, Firefox is not good. Crashtastic, yes. But good? NO.

Paint.net isnt as good as Gimp 2.0, atleast when it comes to making Decals. I couldnt get it done at all with Paint.net, while in Gimp 2.0 I could follow the instuctions almost 100% and got the job done. Speaking ow wich, the tutorial quide on wiki fails to mention that the decal must be 64x64 or then I missed that part.

Alteast Paint.net start up faster, so you can make screenshots png quicker.

I'm looking for a file editing program that can rotate things 45 degrees. Help?

I am not sure what kind of 'paint' like software to get. I don't have a lot of space left. Is photoshop a good idea?

In Gimp, you can choose the decree of rotation by typing the number.

if you mean you can bring up a box that give an option of left or right rotation 90 turn, 180 degree turn, 270 degree turn or free rotation(you type in a number and it rotates the amount of degrees) then its the same as paintshop pro 7.
