Title: Adobe CS3
Post by: HurricaneAndrew on June 16, 2009, 04:05:35 PM
Does anyone know where I can get Adobe CS4 or even CS3 for around $300.

I might even settle for CS2, so if you know where to get it for around $300 let me know.

I know, I'm crazy for thinking I'll find it this cheap, but just seeing if you guys might know something I don't.

I found Adobe After Effects CS3, Adobe Photoshop CS3, Adobe Dreamweaver CS3, and some other things for free on youtube using keygens.

Well, I have a few select Adobe programs I have in mind:

Photoshop (of course)
Acrobat (obviously)
Illustrator (for creating vector images)
InDesign (for publications)
Premiere (for video editing, it's MUCH better than Windows Movie Maker)

what are you trying to do for video editing? Live action videos? Music Videos? Effect videos? Because unless you want some complex stuff, WMM is fine. I'm became very competent at WMM before i switched.

Premiere is a hard program to use, the next step up from WMM is really sony vegas.

Look up those programs on youtube. Be like, "photoshop cs4 for free" and then look at the comments. if they look good, try that video.

Hey Andrew...

Adobe offers huge discounts for qualifying students and teachers.  They offer most of their products under education licences.  You might qualify. I trust you are still in school?

Go to adobes website:   ADOBE EDU DISCOUNT SITE (https://store1.adobe.com/cfusion/store/html/index.cfm?store=OLS-US&event=displayEduConditions)

Thats your best bet, good luck.

Well, I'm kind of in between at this point. I graduated high school in May, but I want to pay tuition to go back to the vo-tech in our district for my 2nd year of graphic arts. Then after that, go to a local community college.

Thanks for the tip!

You are welcome.  If you have a friend that is in school, that works too... they are pretty lenient about it.  I had a friend that was not in college get the EDU version by having his college enrolled friend buy it.  It's not a hard system to circumvent really.

Oh, alright. It's basically taste anyway. But if you ever want to do some really cool effects, get After Effects.
