Title: 2010 Daytona 500
Post by: HurricaneAndrew on February 11, 2010, 06:59:25 PM: I'm not sure how many, if any, people here follow NASCAR, but whatever.

What are your predictions for this year's Daytona 500?

I personally don't have a clue, but I feel that Tony Stewart and Mark Martin both have a good chance at winning.

I am bummed out that Blaney did not make it. I think Jamie McMurray has a great shot at winning the 500. He was insanely good during the shootout race, and his lap times have been phenominal. If he can score some good drafting partners then he could really contend.

From your poll I choose Kurt. Brad K knows his way around the plate tracks really well. I think the two of them will work together really well if they can line up and draft.

It is going to be a great race HA. Nice to see another fan on the boards.

Yeah Jonzu is right... He's been kicking around since '07.

Hell of a racer, but he's got a firey attitude though. Some of the other drivers hate him because he has attitude problems. He does not take crap from anyone, it is entertaining to watch.

I have even lost most of my interest in NASCAR due to how generic everything about it is now. I would musch rather see a dirt track race than a NASCAR race any day, but this is the only form of racing offered this time of year.

NASCAR is a little more involved then just a circle truck though... the amount of "force" traveling around that track is actually quite amazing, violent or sudden movements from one car can actually unsettle the car in front... its a cool thing to think they carry that much force from speed
