Title: SPARKEY NON AID AI PACK

Remember how I came up with the Idea for an AI pack were the robots were powerd by switchs and buttons? well I am now making an AI pack were all of the robots are powerd by switches. You just press the space bar at the begining and they go on there own. I've been tuning them and I've gotton them to put up a pretty good fight, and they are some of my best designs.
 
the pack will be RTR and include
 
11 switch drive teams
2 teams of my best bots
1 team for you to put in bots
 
please don't lock this thread, this idea has potential and could really kick off.

I kinda like the idea, honestly.  Not sure how effective they can be, but might be interesting at least.

We should have table top arenas.  It will be fun to make something that moves (so you don't get clock out), yet don't drive off the edge at the same time.

your not meant to fight them with driving from what I gather but AI a switch to forward

actually not so crazy as I AI'd KOK robots to charge forward.. only difference would be firing weapons and change heading by small degrees at a time to make sure they met the other robot

as long as they all drive straight it cant be that bad.. at least he is taking smaller steps at a time

I non AI AI pack. I see this working with SnS's. Nothing else though.

One of my box charging rammers Aid like this killed one of my HS!
 
As long as you keep charging at them, the'll keep fighting back.
 
BTW it will have new splashes, some new UI, re-skined test garage stuff, the claw top is now completley white, and I re-skined the parking lot.
 
Box charging popups work really well IMO, like the second one above can ram strait across the arena and flip you sky high. I'm wiring them so the same button that drives them fires there weapon, so if you're fightning a clamper, and it flys across, hitting space will stop it, but it will clamp you. Same with popups.

Like YOU hav'nt made clones, every 36 mace HS is a clone, every unrealistic HS is a clone. We all know who Project Trinity is, I've always wanted to build one, I did.

However, all of you shouldn't bash one another by saying that this and that are clones of what and what. It's just pointless IMO.

What he means is that the drive is controlled by switches, pistons are controlled normally. And the way you drive isn't the way that the AI drives, Sparks, so change your control method otherwise this has 0% chance of working.

I believe a bot with drive on switches might work if you make an special .py for it, but it's just a waste of time really.

then it wouldnt be a Non AIDS AI'd pack

the best action for those pack would be to make them all rammers and have sumo fights..

throw in some more table top arenas and you have a pretty fun pack

Yeah, it's mostly for table top, but the way it works is pressing space drives them rward and fires weapons, it could be fun though :mrgreen:

A Bag. We have the top DSL builder on this thread discussing Sparks' AI pack, and the best comment he can come up with involves a bag.

In case you havent noticed, he has so far not made any sense at all.

Tough space control doesnt bother me because I always have had my weapon controls on , . and/or - (the 3 keys to the left of the right Shift)

I was trolling the thread... and i still keep thinking drive on switches is absolutely not helpful, especially for the LeftRight control.

Already when Sparkles released his bot pack months ago, his bots were weirdly wired...
