Title: ROFL AI Mod

Basically would be primarly a mod for laughs, with absurdly powerful motors (both drive and weapon, burst, pistons), very high hitpoints for everything (still can be destroyed after enough hits), overpowered batteries and air tanks, overpowered weapons so you can toss the bots to the ceiling, and other goodies such as augmented elasticity for a few things (like super-bouncing sledgehammers), super-powerful arena hazards... Robot chassis armor will be augmented as well.

There might be a few more parts, but it will most likely be done from the Stock gmf's.

It will also have drive and weapon versions of all the Stock spin motors and lifter and flipper versions of the 2 bursts.

AI parts allowed, all cheat parts are on, and it will obey the realistic rule.

After seeing Backlash, i wondered "why do the parts must break that fast?"

as thats the way I wanted it  :p I grew up watching hypnodisc vs splinter :P

anyway this does sound interesting... strange that a non competitive version of the game should come from you though :P but still.. NarAI, FB Cheat AI and now this ? how do you find the time ?

Says the guy that hosted 4+ tournaments in one year, plus a whole mod !

FB's cheat AI is canceled, will be replaced by this.

And for non-competitive... this is stock, not DSL :P

So far the ramplate has 7000 HP or something like that, the sledgehammer has same values that the one in DSL and the HPZ has 120 maxspeed and 30 torque ! I might augment these if it's not lulzy enough.

All non-normal weapons are at 60000 efficiency, normals are at 100000 efficiency...

More to come :P

That is a good idea  :mrgreen: but more components isn't the point of the pack really.

Oh, and wheel grip will be augmented as well.

Well, i was just able to install Ubuntu on my comp, so internet works, now just to see if i can get RA2 to work with linux.

On topic, i might be able to release the Beta (just txt's) tomorrow.

That aside, if everything is overpowered, wouldn't that just make the game balance?

I thought I had an empty component.cfz in my balance patch a few months back.

Yup it wouldn't be fair if only Naryar has the inner knowledge.  Even though in practice the only other person who might check the entire component folder would be me........ For the sake of balancing issues of course.

In a game where all the parts are actually balanced to each other, looking at txt file will not offer any advantages.

well I spent an hour carefully making a FFUUU sound effect motor and RA2's output quality made it sound like a heap of &#@!

Testing all the bots for crashes. So far 1 bot (not determined which) crashes, 2 more don't don't do anything. Full report shortly.

Bots that Crash:
Jackpot - Unsure

Bots that don't move:
Big Dog - No controls wired
Catfish - No controls wired
The Boxer - Unsure

Minor Issues:
Grog - Unnamed smartzone
Backslash - No smartzone at all
DEADBEAT - Unnamed smartzone
M.A.D. - Spins instead of drives. I suspect it was wired incorrectly.

Also, LMF and LugNut have erratic driving, but I don't know why.

For some reason whenever i press the "mechanics" section it quits. And Some bots don't seem to have changed (might have been intentional).
