Even if people have essentially said this already, I figured I'd say this (to get my post count up lel); I don't get why people have the mindset of:

"this will be the last update for a while"

"releases in a few days"

"REQUEST ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING NOW"

I've seen it a fair bit on the Facebook page (surprisingly more so on GTM) and I can't really understand it. I get that this surpasses pretty much every Robot Wars game the BBC released and for that reason, people want to make the most of it and see their favorite robots in the game (It may be a while before we get something this good again,) but we have LOADS of robots. I get that we'd all like to use our favorite robots in one of the best Robot Wars games to date (I wouldn't mind seeing Tiberius myself) but for anyone here to request more stuff; be grateful for what we have. Which is over 100 robots. And more coming in the update.

oh and add whsiwyg becuz the universe demands it

why is everyone complaining about complaints ? you know it's a vicious circle right ?

its simple really. this pack's main demographical targets is Robutt Wars fanboys. Especially that it isn't about building, but replicas only. And considering how robot wars did it's merch, some are quite vocal about their preferences.

We always had some... remember when noname newbies bumped up the DSL3 thread repeatedly for asking "is X replica in ?" and we got annoyed over it ? Well it's the same process. We even have some that have integrated into GTM successfully, and are worthy and respectable members now.

Except this mod is more ambitious replica-wise, and it has a facebook page so it gets more publicity, so the influx of Robot Wars fanboys is rather large.

tl;dr of course you get complaints, this mod is aimed at the robot wars fanboy crowd... keep calm and soldier on.

I agree with Naryar so much. No need to complain about people going against what you may have told them not to ask because they'll ask anyway as this will be a big thing for Robot Wars superfans and they really want to see their favourite robot in the game.

It'd be fine if it was only once or twice, but the fact that this keep happening constantly, despite us repeatedly saying we don't take requests, is what irritates us.

This is a project we do in our spare time, and started as something filled with plenty more enthusiasm than we currently have. It doesn't help when people like battledutchman over here start asking for robots that are impossible to get due to either the owners being untrackable or the robot being associated with another company.

We've put tonnes of content into the mod already, including more replicas than any other mods previously. All we're asking for is for people to be patient and try to appreciate what we've worked on for over a year.

Alright everyone!

Since the requests become more and more and people still don't understand how contracts work we decidet that I the 4th best guy on this forum takes over and answer questions regarding this mod.

you can PM me and ask for Robot X and Y (No Robot X is already in DSL so don't ask for that!)
I will tell you that the requested robot will not be in the mod and we will all be fine. Looking forward to it!

Alright then. How would the expansion be released? Like as a small patch for an already installed game, a full game with all the updates inside, or both? Like how Click released DSL 2.2 for example.

It is planned to be a full release with the update preinstalled.

Also there is still some work that has be done before release so we are not just teasing you for no reason with those pictures

There is quite a bit going on in the lifes that's why it has been delayed a few times already.

Although I do agree that this could be quite irritating, some people will see the name and immediately start asking questions, paying no heed to anything else, due to excitement. Also, who said you had to respond to these people? What would happen if the people currently working on RA3 came on GTM and said "Oh God why so many inquisitive questions?? Just stop asking and let us get on with it!!"? They're letting us ask questions but not giving us answers, meaning they can find out themselves if they decide to play RA3. You guys need to do the same. Letting something as stupid as people actually being excited and inquisitive about the mod make you less enthusiastic is not right. In fact, it should spur you on more to answer ALL of their questions by releasing the mod, instead of tending to their questions individually. Directing all that traffic to Thyrus isn't the answer :P

To make a long story short he's saying you don't need to answer all of them just annouce what you can in your own time.
