Sorry if I'm being silly here, but weren't the house robots going to be added? Or are they not quite done yet?

Q&A
Q: House robots?
A: Soon.

Yes you are being silly Mouldy.

also, does anyone want every single JPearce voice clip used in RW:AOD and RW:ED? I suppose someone will care

Jason, Sorry I forgot to put you in the splash and ra2 credits. The stuff you gave me was a massive help, and we really appreciate it. Your name will be credited on the Official Robot Wars website when the page goes live. ;)

Mouldy... Redace...  Wat. How.. Ehh daphooque
...lucky draw aye? Haha. Noisy Cricket or Saint in the Challenge a Champ event then  :p

Tmmcreight25, there are no missing components at all and I'm not sure what you mean "missing robots"

I tried to play with Atom Smasher but the game crashed lol. Can you use Stock/DSL bots in this mod at all?

Sure... If you add all the stock and DSL components into the game.

Stop asking stupid questions. You've been here for 6 years. You know how RA2 works.
It's not a stupid question. I want to make things clear by asking from the mod creators themselves.

Any reason why multiplayer is disabled? I'd like to be able to play this with people...

The old 'non-standard components' error plagued my multilayer tests to an extent it just wasn't worth it. I'll look into what we can do to improve that in future releases.

STFU.

Seriously. Is it possible to play with DSL bots with this mod or not? I want to make this clear because I want to use my DSL IRL designs in this.

Just copy/paste the DSL components into the RWRA2 components folder and you'll be able to start using them. None of the replicas use any DSL parts, as far as I'm aware, so it won't crash any of th AI.

.....I think.

Noisy Cricket in the Challenge a Champ event then  :p
And it will be the last one I do.

Oh good God.  I finally did it.  It took three hours, one giant headache, several meltdowns and metal dizziness, but I did it.  I put the troll face for the logo for both of us.  And you also want me to try it with Saint?  Hell no.  It would be less painful to build a Twn Twrn replica in DSL and that's with minimal detail.  Either way, it looks like you got the last laugh here HB.

...Oh yeah, maybe I should get back on topic.  After all, you did release this mod to us so I guess it would be fair if I give my thoughts on this.

As far as a mod goes, it's fantastic. The replicas look beautiful and very well detailed, as well as the arenas which are fun to go through.  The UI and music do a great job of making me feel like I'm playing a Robot Wars game.  Some parts kinda feel a bit rushed though, and that's some of the collision meshes which kinda gives me a weird feeling when playing.  Also, some component reblancing might help fix some of the collision mesh issues.  But regardless, no matter how much I would go on about this, the pros would outweigh the cons here and some cons are things in RA2 that no one would fix.  Fans of Robot Wars would really get a kick out of this and maybe those not so familiar to the franchise could probably have fun with this as well.

Score: I'll give it a 9.5/10.  In my opinion, it just falls short of the rushed elements and some of those problems would just be nit-picking.  But still, it's fun and enjoyable.  Thanks to everyone who spent two years making something awesome.

as long as both parties have the components, online will work. you literally just need to change one value in some text file to allow them.

One thing that bothers me is that when I made a robot, it got pretty quick destroyed by Titan or any other destructive bots, even though it did have Steel armor. Are you guys considering to do any changes to the armors or giving ability to play with the DSL IRL designs for the future updates?

Really liking the mod so far and I'm thankful for everyone who has been been part of the project.

Apparently the armours are just the stock armours - so DSA will be the best.
My above post explains everything about everything.

Host of: Wheely Tag, Back To The Beginnings, BTTB 2, BTTB 3, BTTB 4, & BTTB V.

Heavy Metal: Champion (Mockery of the Whole Concept)
Robotic International Wars Series 1: Champion (Minifridge 6)
RA2 Team Championships 1 & 2: Champion (High Speed Train & Upthrust - as part of Naryar's Not Quite Evil Council of Doom)

Runner Up in: The Amazing Rage (Team Fedex), R0B0NOVA (Zaphod Stock), Steel Warzone (Inception of Instability), Box of Nightmares (Gicquel), Wheely Tag (Minifridge the Second)

Clash Cubes IV: 5th place (Fretless)
BBEANS 6: Rumble Winner & 6th Place (Minifridge 4)

Much better than your previous question.

I can only assume that the DSL bots would either be extremely overpowered or incredibly weak, considering they're from two completely different mods.

We'll look into armour, but this is a separate tc mod to DSL so I can't say with any certainty we'd even try to make it fully compatible with DSL. After all, HB and the others worked on new components for a reason ;)
