I wasn't here, I'm hating the new Christmas theme and I need a lager so I'll not ask what happened earlier in the thread.

We all keep everything backed up on Dropbox and external hard drives so we're that well prepared for something like this, we don't even have to ask each other for backups!

I'm just selling out a few things to get some side cash for Christmas pressies and when I pick one... A new 350-400w power supply. Then I'm back on track, hopefully before Christmas! Jarvis is obviously severely buggered but he was thinking more ahead than the rest of us. Smart arse.

To be honest though this break was going to happen anyway, we ran out of photographs for textures! There's a few roboteers who haven't sent their lot in. I assume MikeNCR will be chasing the Electric Boogaloo and Son of Ziggy teams soon.

Really? I don't mind the Christmas theme for GTM. It takes a bit of getting used since you may be used to the default setting.

I'm on HBs side on this it does look kind of tacky and I'm not a fan of the hole festive feel as it's so easily shoved down our throats.

The AI is done as far as it can be for now, ie every completed replica going in the game is done. Until more stuff comes along, I'm looking at improving the games performance in a few ways:

RESOLUTION
I've forced the game to display in 1920x1080p with no stretching; at the moment it works fine but it's not changeable in the main menu. I'll try to fix that when I next get a chance (probably tomorrow)

ANTI-ALIASING
There's no question that this game has horrible jagged edges, whether or not it bothers you is a matter of opinion but personally I don't like it. It can run with (very weak) AA but it has to be changed on the user end in the graphics card settings. I'm looking at ways to get the game to support inbuilt AA but it's not looking promising (old games ftw)

FRAMERATE
Now this has stumped me. Either RA2s framerate is locked at 30 or its simply not properly optimised as it never seems to raise above 30fps. Does anyone know how to unlock the framerate to say, 144? Any help appreciated :)

a lot of things like that require editing the exe iirc. this cannot be done as we dont have the source code :/

I thought that was what pyRA2 was for?
