Im not sure if I have mentioned this before, but Trident would be cool. And although you can't have the entire bot, I'd say some onslaught parts (wheels or flipper etc.) in the game would be nice.

Redace, you made me laugh haha, nice use of the memey troll-y thing. ;) I'm too old.
You're welcome, I actually don't do that a lot. It made me laugh the moment I first saw it and I felt it was appropriate for how good that bot looks.

For a new bot, If you want a bot from the old-school robot wars, then how about Black Hole? From the Live Circuit Robot Wars, why not try Envy?

all thanks to FOTEPX. :)

Aww, thanks. I've got more chances to work on chassis now, because it's the weekend. If ya need me or anything more chassiswork, just lemme know!  :approve:

By the way, I'm permitting suggestions for a bit, are there any robots you lot think I am missing out that truly deserve to be in the game from being a significant part of Robot Wars History?

IMO, a better rep of Chaos 2 is absolutely, -absolutely- nessescary. The DSL2 version is crap, and I haven't seen a better version anywhere.

(Image removed from quote.)

Massive thank you everyone! I'm pleased you all like Ripper, I do consider it my best work so far! Hopefully I'll be able to keep up this new standard with the next few replicas. :)

Any chance of hinting a possible release date ? cause this is just insane i would spend money just to get this mod AMAZING!!! Sorry to hear about everything legal wise hope you get it sorted soon.
Word to the wise, a hobby becomes a job when you have to commit to release dates.

HB, that Ripper is unreal.

Thanks Sonny! Your also right about deadlines turning this into work, making it more of a burden than an easy going project which is why I'm not giving out a deadline. Daleksec7 is quite ill at the moment and cant do any projects anyway and we're waiting on Click helping us get the Robot Wars Live arena working in the game before the release.

Since arenas take time, the other arenas will be released in the monthly DLC. I'll also be doing a Featherweight add on once I get a BFEer willing to work on demand to make the chassis low enough. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm assuming you don't need to have the graphics on low res to get the chassis to remain low because Hypnodisc and Chaos 2's chassis remain unchanged?

You know what man? See if you're ever in Belfast for an event and once I'm 18 I will meet you in person and I will buy you a drink but that means I will end up infringing my moral code but what the hell I'll make an exception. Also your handling so much at life IRL and this mod and so many other things at once and you just keep going forward. Never thought I would say this to anyone online but dude you are an inspiration to me and probably this entire forum.

Also that bot. Top quality like usual. 11/10
Cheers mate, one of the nicest comments I've ever received! :) If I am ever up in Belfast it certainly would be great to meet you, If you buy me a pint, make sure its Irish and I'll get you a Newcastle Brown Ale ;) It would be appropriate haha.
Thank you for appreciating how much is going on in my life at the moment, there is a lot that I'd rather not talk about at all but since I consider you all to be part of our little RA2 family, I felt appropriate to tell yous the main dilemma that is going on.
Regardless of whatever goes on I will try my very best to keep this project going.

Damn, the paint work on Ripper is furcking amazing.
Regardless, the Ripper replica does look badass. Why this over the old Ripper exactly?
I assume it's because this version was the 2011 UK champion and/or the team wanted this version too.
As good as the old Ripper is, I prefer the latest Ripper, it was easy to get to it and photograph it for the textures and in my opinion it is the most suitable for the pack.

This version isn't actually the one that won the championship, the version that did I will begin working on shortly in the form of Dystopia

I took this screenshot half an hour ago to show the evolutions of Ripper in the world of Robot Arena 2. As you can see development has progressed a long way in the component design and in John Findlay's robot design.

On the right, is my poor representation of Ripper MK3, the middle is Ripper MK5/Ripper Evo (which is a completely different robot from Dystopia before anyone tries saying different) made by Wham for the Roaming Robots pack and on the left is Ripper MK7, built in 2013 and I don't think I need to tell you who made it!

See you all after the next update lads!

EDIT:
I forgot to mention that the legal stuff is sorted out. John cleared it up with me and said the other person just misunderstood and its obviously given us a scare! But when this is released it will be on the Official Robot Wars Website.  :thumbup

By the way, I'm permitting suggestions for a bit, are there any robots you lot think I am missing out that truly deserve to be in the game from being a significant part of Robot Wars History?

Well since you asked:

Pulverizer - The Second Dutch Series champion. Sure, it may not be as destructive as the likes of S3 and 259, but beating out a bunch of other robots to become champion of their home nation is worth taking note of.

Black Hole/Luzifer - Either one is fine. Black Hole, German Series champion, was an effective robot, even by UK and US standards at that point in time. It really showed what Germany was capable of in terms of robot combat. Failing that, Luzifer is its successor, and it's a shame I haven't seen many clips of it.

Philipper 2 or Hard - Philipper 2 was runner up in both the second Dutch Championship and the European Championship. Might not be the most effective robot, but deserves noting because of it's achievements in both of those events. Failing that, Hard could be decent Belgian representative

Updated S3 and Supernova - They were in DSL since 1.0 I believe, so updated versions of them for both this and DSL 3 would be pretty cool. Not much work to be done on S3 since the body component already exists, but Supernova needs looking at. Both were decent spinners, and Supernova was runner up in the Third World Championship.

Mortis - Series 1 and 2 semi-finalist and first War of Independence champion. A robot that was both hyped up and villified by the producers, Mortis has a reputation like none other in Robot Wars history. I believe Wham already made a chassis component that's in the 2013 pack's component folder, so it should just be a matter of working from there

Pitbull - Underrated robot from series 3. Probably the most successful robot styled after an animal because it reached the series 3 semi-finals. More of a personal preference, but it did have some success

Napalm - Not that effective in terms of weaponry, durability, reliability, or style, but would be fun to see smashed up. Also, it's a series 2 semi-finalist if that counts for anything

Its not in the photo though :P
Yup, Jonzu and shield there's 1 more version of ripper which is the 2011 one, basically HB justs needs to reskin Dystopia in RA2

Explosion and manta look just hmmm. What's a good word...

Irredescant- holy sh** I spelt it right

Anyway, for suggestions I'd love one of the axe bots terrorhurtz or Thor, if it's still robot wars live robots you're after

If not, could you make the latest versions from robot wars series 7?
Really popular robots need an amazing replica from the HB himself
