Dystopia looks great, but I'm not really much of a fan of the robot itself. The paint job feels abit tacky.

Really liking Limpet. Nice extra bit of detail with the piece of bread on the back.

Hello again lads, I'm quite busy at the moment but I will ask for this favour from everyone in return for us doing this Mod for everyone.

I'm very happy you all like Dystopia and so is Garfie, but Daleksec7 despite being bedridden and recently coming out of hospital, has spent quite a it of time and effort to make Limpet upon John Denny's request. Don't worry about the skin, I will be giving it a better one when I'm back at home but can you all leave your opinions on it please?

Thanks lads, people who leave their feedback for Daleksec7 will get something positive in return from me.

Also I'll call out again, are there any BFE'ers who will be up for making the simplified low chassis for the feathers?

Already left my feedback.

bread?

If your talking about the bread on the back of limpet its because there was a bit of bread on the back of limpet so john asked me to put it on

I remember at Colchester Thor smacking down into dystopias insides sending sparks flying...

Yeh whenever Dystopia seems to fight Thor it cuts out and i cannot work out why.

Funny thing is it only happens when i fight Thor (fighting Titans fine). I think it just shakes everything about so much it breaks a connection. Often just a quick reset and she works perfectly again.

Could be the Link, Receiver, Batteries, or even the Speed controller. But ive never been able to reproduce the problem other than when fighting Thor, so i have no clue how to fix it.

I have on the plus side fixed the armour panel falling off problem (for now), as Thor axing inside was scary - Especially as it cut out whilst pushing Thor, so he thought i was still active.

Somebody needs to make some custom py files so Dystopia always cuts out against any possible Thor rep in an AI battle, lol.

Its actually very deliberate, and is part of the theme of the robot. (Wiki "Dystopia" if you have never heard of the word)

Its something people either love or hate. Some love its origionality, whereas some think the way others do it is better.

The sign writing is based on guerilla warfare, where they often hand paint the faction on the side of commandered trucks and so on. Being in a Dystopia it can be assumed forced labour or so on was used to create these enforcers (Dystopia actually also has a serial number, meant to imply others exist within its home dimension).

However some think that stickers simply look better, are more easily read and are generally more effective. Which i agree totally with, however i wanted to go against convention. It would have been alot easier to use stickers, but then again everyone else uses them and i wanted Dystopia to stand out.

The same reason goes as to why i havnt as of yet repainted it. It looks like its been through a war, it looks like its been through armageddon, and thats exactly what a Dystopia could be described as :) - I dont like the yellow and green which for some random reason appears to be under the current paint, but when i see that i get out a sharpie and colour it in, so that way i keep the scratches and the peeling effect.

Ill respray the scoop over Winter. Tbh i dont like how the police badge has faded away (Its now actually insulation tape cut to size on the robot), and the arm in general is getting to the point where there are more holes than paint, but still i like the rest of the body - even down to the re-welded part of the armour panel with no paint and burn marks surrounding it (Blue side).

Also another good part of the theme of the robot is it give me a really good excuse to do this (see attachment)

Don't overwork yourself and go against the doctor's orders too much, not just for this mod anyway. You have all the time in the world, considering this has no release date. Anyway, the Firestorm chassis model looks good.

No there isn't a download link for the arenas because they are not exported yet. If your requesting an early release for the arena/s, or for us to send it to you only then the answer is no. It is Improfessional, takes away the quality from the full release and it would become complicated for John Findlay when he releases everything to the Official Robot Wars Website.

Anyway I might be back home tonight so I'll either make a start on Bulldog Breed or Noisy Cricket. Whatever happens as always I will keep everyone updated. :)
