both bots use custom components. you need to locate all the components and theire .txt files in the componentfolder and copie it into your RWAI pack component folder to use them.

HB, I think those claws are actually accurate, I remember seeing Tough as nails at a Robot wars live event a couple of years ago and it looks accurate, in my opinion, you only need to skin them

Cheers lads!

I do plan to get Bulldog Breed (DSL) & a new Storm II into the pack. I've given the former a very nice power upgrade on the flipper and it is now able to flip robots out of the arena. Storm II i want to redesign myself as the DSL version has a tendency to flip itself when it rams something, I want it to ram robots into walls at full pelt... Mind If your not careful battling my scoop equipped Tornado then it will ram you out of the arena!

As for M2, Ripper & St Agro... we'll have to wait and see what happens. ;) Supernova on the other hand is essential merely for the fact that it is from Sri Lanka, never mind its destructive capabilities!

Thyrus, normally i can but because of the odd wedge(ish) shape of the claws I cant, although I do have a cunning plan but I will definitely not be able to skin them.

I've been playing around with skins again last night. Please tell me what you think, my apologies for the old font still being there, i haven't a clue how to change it.

Thanks again lads, the buttons do need tweaking a bit so the hues match the background. I'm not looking forward to doing the main menu though.

amazing work.

are you skinning the claws with a bmp or do you use hexcolors in the gmf like the domeparts do?

I skin stuff with either bmp or tga through Photoshop, mind I dont know anything other than that to be honest.

Small bit of news... something that isnt on my list. I've never been happy with any of the Wheely Big Cheese Replicas that have been created for the game as they tend to be missing out the detail on the body and the bottom flipper panel is never the right shape so I decided to make my own designed in the same way as the toy. The skins all work as I wanted them to which I'm very pleased about, just need to add the logo to the flipper panel.

I hope you like it lads!

The wheels are obviously from DSL and dont provide much grip so I might reskin another pair of wheels of a similar size to create WBC's exhibition tyres for player use.... And yes the flipper is powerful, it can easily throw 1000kg about 15-20ft in the air.

Awesome!

Don't use another tire, just buff the WBC wheel's grip value.

Lots of cool stuff here, I really like how the robots are coming along.
With the UI, I believe you cut out bits from images on another thread (sorry if this is wrong and I don't mean to sound bad). You could tidy up corners and such on certain pieces if you look back a few more posts and download the image files a user named "Ducky" uploaded from robot wars extreme destruction. There are some raw image files of pieces.
Hope this helps!

Cheers lads,
TommyProductionsInc, your too kind! I dont have as much confidence in myself as you seem to in me, its very uplifting to hear.  :thumbup

Badnik, increasing the grip value doesn't seem to work effectively on this particular wheels.

Akshaylan, the elements of the skin were taken from screenshots i took myself on the game. I have noticed that I have erased a section of a corner piece and there is an annoying aura around the menu board. All will be corrected in time, unless I forget.

Right, I'm going to have a crack at actually making an arena now, I have a few ideas for what to make but I could do with an opinion or two for which would be the most desirable yet simple. The ideas I have listed are very different from the obscure things people usually come up, I want my arena additions to have the same natural dark ere atmosphere depicted in RWED.

First arena idea is something based in the well known location of the worlds largest nuclear disaster, Chernobyl.

Generic Abandoned Warehouse.

Naples Catacombs

Or an abandoned mine!

Now before anyone complains that these ideas are not legit arenas, well keep in mind the the DSL crew and Robot Wars game developers made arenas of the same idea and concept as this. Just probably not this dark.

So, which shall I have a bash at?
Chernobyl will most likely be a plain arena with bumper cars as obstacles and a low bumper wall as a flip out zone. The abandoned building would probably be the simplest to start off with as it would be a box arena. Naples' catacombs have the open tombs which can act as pits but hats generally it. And finally the coal mine, which could be collapsed at one side to prevent wandering and have the pit gates and shaft at the other to act as both an OOTA and pitting zones.
