That video is from 2012, and running on 1/3rd power (20 bar as opposed to 70 bar max). On full power it destroyed itself.
We should be able to choose whether we have full power or not then. If we choose 20 bar, he havoks. If we choose 70 bar, the game crashes (or Flow immediately gets destroyed.) Ha ha.

That's not offensive.  "It's not a Plunderbird clone if the claw actually works" would be offensive.
The reason why I mentioned it is because a couple of other roboteers brought it up. I'm just being the middleman... Annoyingly as usual.  :facepalm:

Maybe in a couple of years time when it would seem decent for me to spin off and do that small amount of work for another company but for now, no.



I do like the Flow replica, it looks almost like the real one without the gaping hole in the side ;).

Really glad you like it mate ;) Funnily enough when I was building Flow together in the botlab, I used a 80 bar pneumatic burst and it literally exploded so Yug1Tom wasn't far off with his guesstimation!

It's the spinner killer, two fights with NST, two times bounced off the front and landed in the pit. Never needed maintenance above repairing the odd locked gearbox.

Often we try to optimise our designs, this can lead to many robots having similar features, not because they copied each other but because they are good enough engineers to constantly rework their robot till its perfect. By saying that they just copied someone else after all that hard work can be disrespectful

It was more than quite lethal, it was scary. And it came 4th in 2012. Unfortunately it's non-existant now :(
I wouldn't go so far as to say everyone has... there are marks from NST and DB10, but Flow does have his initials milled into the arm:

RL has a proper CPZ is the mainly noticeable difference in terms of plan.

I think RL only has a pit - whereas RW has a flipper, flame jets and angle grinders.

Also RW has 3 sides where OOTAs are near impossible (back and each side). However the sides are only covered for 2/3 of the distance. The remaining side is exposed.

RL has one side exposed, with 3 sides with very high fences where OOTAs are possible with the most powerful of flippers (Dystopia, Ripper, Manta, ect).

Each arena has several variations (such as a small scale version), but thats the main stuff i see.

Also the general atmosphere outside the arena is completely different

RL has a flipper too but every video ive seen its rarely been used
