oh and about building standards:

All bots must be built in DSL 2.2, and NOT in DSL 2.1.
You may bypass rule of seven with serge's new exe.
Custom components, including cheatbot2 DSL2.2 components, are banned. Exception will be done for aesthetics-only cheatbot2 DSL2.2 components. Reskins of existing components will most likely be accepted in the future, but for now I don't want to bother with a component folder.
Building quality controls are in. I may reject any bot that I feel is not sufficiently well built, or any bot that I feel is not a good successor to the former bot (only for the original ra2 teams for the latter).
All standard building glitches allowed, as long as the bot is still DSL-S. (Snapper loading, piston loading, eFFeing, chicken drills, Trov glitch, etc.)
List of glitches banned: Nasty pickle, rupting, Trinity, hax mode, Thyrus glitch.
You may use BFE, but only if:
-The bot is still DSL-S as a result, within the confines of DSL 2.2 (so no NPC's halfway outside the chassis like in DSL 2.1)
-You are not cheating in any way or form (superstrong custom armors, bypassing the extender chains/attaching components to the baseplate when they cannot be attached and making them invulnerable/floating components etc.)

How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

Player teams will be accepted once we have rebuilt all the base DSL 2.1 bots. Right now, I am accepting Stock/DSL AI rebuilds.

have received quite a bit of bots today. and received some bots again... for the third time, iirc ?

Anyways, I may build one or two bots and then I will set myself up to skin all of my bots ( :rage ), AI them and put everything, including the builder bots, into teams. then we'll finish the teams.

the first NAR AI 3.1 release will come when all the three first bots of the team will be built. i may end up dumping Arthrobotics and RA1 Reincarnated (may add them as teams later). the rest of the teams will be filled with the old NAR AI bots, to be replaced in a further release.

also all of Red Zone needs to be done, because there are some tournament bots up in the two first teams.

Red Zone is now complete. Also, I am now adding bot types after completed bots.

If you want to help, know that I will build the bots in the order that they are listed, so since I'm done with Red Zone, the next in my building spree are Grog and the other bots in PREHISTORIC.

Prehistoric is now complete. Will post team in showcase asap.

known issues : Grog (the shell spinner) doesn't move much. It moves quite a bit when it loses it's shell, but otherwise nope, even when the spinner's recoil has stopped rotating the bot.

Next is Good Ol' Boys. hammerhead shark is done, BEAR is done but I didn't get it, and the rest I need to build. I will start by Mud Runner, and then the extra bots. Will most likely stay LW/MW/hw.

TENTATIVE UPDATE : It looks like I have some folders of NAR AI 3.1 on my really old, busted computer. If I can get them (that'd be in a bit more of 2 weeks), I may try to get back at that. although I am really rusty at Ra2.

Besides, looks like the Pathfinder community I left for is imploding, so I may be back to good old GTM.

Although I work those days. And I am not sure I want to go back to RA2.

There seems to be a shortage of AI packs for 2.2, so having a new NAR AI would be a good thing.

hey everyone. so it's been a long time but after teammates I'd thought I would do some AI pack work again.

so this is it. we're rebuilding NAR AI. without half a billion bots this time, without weird custom components and such.

it's planned for DSL 2.1 but if necessary I can move to another meta.

NAR AI 2020

i expect this to be a community effort (at least me and the few DSL-S boomers remaining here). but all people with interest and skill in DSL-S are welcome to send me bots.

We'll rebuild the old DSL teams originally made by click (and rebuilt by me), up to Arthrobotics, and then you'll be free to send your teams, or claim old NAR AI teams to be rebuilt.

plans :
-basic team format is LW/MW/HW/(any)/(any)/(any) though i don't really mind if you derive from the format. please theme your bots appropriately with the team, send me motto and a team image. i suggest you AI your own bots though it is by no means required.
-i will also list the original DSL 2.1 teams. there will be no claiming of bots, first to send me something accepted will get in.
-weightclasses allowed : AW (125.0 or less), BW (175.0 or less), LW (249.0 or less), MW (499.0 or less), HW (800.0 or less), SHW (1200.0 or less). no ultraheavyweights any more, they are just lag and havok bait.

rules of building :

-DSL 2.1 Standard rules apply. You are allowed to use the rule of 7 breaker. BFE is allowed ONLY if it could be done in the bot lab (again, custom armor shines are fine.) all BFE rules for DSL-S apply.
-i will set some quality controls. i do not forbid anyone from entering but i will require a minimum level of building. though it doesn't necessarily need to be very combat efficient. if it is cool and/or original enough (even if it is weak) i will accept it.

DSL 2.1.1

so this is an optional thing i might do. a balance patch, supposed to work along with NAR AI 2020.

now I know the issues about balance patches as well as you do. yes, i hear you, it will be unbalanced. this is why i will listen to feedback and edit components if they truly seem to be OP. thing is, i intend to make it as unintrusive as possible and as compatible as possible with DSL 2.1. (or whatever version I use for NAR AI 2020)

-no weights will be changed
-no nerfs to existing components to keep razors top tier old builds from being nerfed. this is supposed to be something that just makes unused components more valuable and hence encourage newer and more original builds.
-no custom components, no new attachment points. this is just DSL 2.1 with some buffs to some components. again for maximum compatibility with 2.1 except if you go back to 2.1 with a modded bot it will no longer be as good.
-i intend to change batteries to make any other battery than the ant usable
-skirts will now have HP relevant to their weight.
-default HP will no longer be a thing. npc-f will stay very good but at the same time will stay fairly fragile. no more motors ripped in one hit.

willing to work with anyone who's interested on the balance thing.
