So with DSL3 now confirmed and soon to be out, where do you think nar ai should go ?

My idea : keep it DSL2, attempt to balance the metagame in a good way, attempt to make all components legal and usable. along with goodies (maybe arenas, skins, etc)
I could also keep it DSL2 vanilla, keep skins but do not change metagame, or go DSL3 and I'll need to rebuild everything.

I will have enough interest if enough people are motivated with something, else it's just pointless to work if most people don't mind your work.

i think it should stay dsl 2 vanilla and you could maybe make a small dsl3 pack alongside if you want.

mmm keep it at 2. 3 still needs to be raped explored enough so we know what "spam" weapons still are semi-competitive. feel free to move over after once DSL 2 is completely dead in any way.

How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.

Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.

Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

I'd like to mod because i don't like how 70% of the DSL components are useless.

Not to mention,balance all the cheatbot2 components. Remove the useless ones.

DSL3 rebalanced.  Mainly the weapons, the wheels, the burst motors, the chassis armor, and definitely adding the ME back in.

I really like the new extender work and the simple armor/extender balance.  I like the reduced weapon count (and personally I will take out even more), I like removing that silly half sheet.  And more importantly, without old bots you won't have to deal with compatibility issues when modding.

Well... 123 has a good point.

Yeah... modding DSL3 and doing my own new version of nar ai based on DSL3 could be pretty nice (all the good things of DSL3 without the bad) but that would mean rebuild everything... although it's probably not bad.

The major problem with DSL2 modding is that it's probably going to die in the following two years. If I continue nar ai in DSL2 only to see it die... Yeah, let's get new blood.

also it would mean I am free to completely change components and stuff, introduce some good DSL2 stuff, remove wedge nerf, and do my own metagame, amongst other things.

Then it will be a DSL3 mod, with the good things of DSL3, a balanced metagame, many components to choose from and hopefully all useful, and removing the wheel and wedge nerf so you can build mostly in DSL2 style but better. It'll be a DSL standard version of DSL3, if you wish, although you can still build what you like.

Note that it may not necessarily be compatible with DSL3 in both sides. I'll make a components folder so you guys can start to build beforehand.
