Title: Menu Color Editing

Anyways Sol you should find this on the UI subfolder on your Robot Arena 2 main folder. Might be here.

And we haven't many French builders here...

actually, i think french is the leading country behind the US for how many people are on this forum. isn't it? i know robo is from canada, venko is in bulgaria, pysc is in rwanda ( hehe ) and a few others. but in france, we have naryar, phil, and sol vector.

Sol: Go into the UI/teamhq folder, and find the file 'hq_league.gib'.
Duplicate it for a back-up.

Then, open up the 'hq_league.gib' with Notepad++.
>Look for line 642: "_ForeColor 0.3 0.23 0.51 1" (change only first three numbers)
>The colors are set as R G B (Red Green Blue).
>Parameters for each color are between 0 and 1.
I.e.:
0 0 0 = black
1 1 1 = white
1 0 0 = Red(full).
0.4 0 0 = Red(softer).
0.5 0 0.5 = purple.
0.3 0.2 0.5 = gray

Now, change line 642 to alter the purple background to the color you want as follows:

It's not difficult; you can do it. Any questions, just ask.

BTW, while we're here...
If you want to change the individual team slots background color, then do this in line 613:

If you want to make your own name appear 'in-game', then do the following in line 107 (name limit of 8-10 characters):

Sure, sol vector speaks french, but as naryar said, the quote, even if in french, sounds more than english translation then true native french.

it should be :

I did a big chunk of the GIB work on the 2.1 patch. I.e.: In the place where you repair the bots between Event matches, I increased in size of the primary visual 3d window and moved other parts around to facilitate the larger window.

And in my own versions I also increased the size of the window in the BotLab for stacking and help precision placement:

I had to reduce the 'Components Selection' windows though; as you can see.
(The yellow lines were just waymarkers, I never bothered to remove.)

Well, ACAMS made the nice Jeep body; Serge enabled the axle tweeking; I edited the gmf to lower the axles, and also the bot file to make the chassis invisible(while in-game).

Back to GIBS: Here's what I was thinking for a BotLab screen for DSL-3. With the main '3d Window' much larger, the pixel jump/gap decreases and makes it easier for precision placement. And longer 'Components' window (at the top of the screen) is for easier selection without scrolling. Just a rough sketch of the BotLab screen layout:

The smaller buttons, component preview window, and such can be placed in other places than where I put them here. The large 3d and Component selection windows are the point.
I should also post this over on the DSL-3 thread...

Any thoughts are appreciated?

The gib can be modded for stock or DSL. The operative word in your question is 'you'. My input here was on the design, more than the designer. I don't know if I have the time to mod this out...but I'll keep it in mind. You might hit up Trov. and CB too...
