wow. lotsa responsibility.

@robo- i never had a problem with it. it was pysc. he said it looked nothing like devil, because devil had a very long wedge. he was gonna make it a long wedged popup, with some armor. and he just sent me all 6 bots you had for me to review as well. i finished grog and skinned it. (plows, evened up castors)

since apparently everything defers to me for a few days, just PM me with your bots. if you need to email, use sythelis(nospam)@yahoo.com

Big Dog = sweet.

Wide Load = Stratocaster?

Little Metal Friend = really nice.

That is all.

Some of these remakes look nothing like the originals. Especially Sabertooth, it was originally a Jaw bot not a Horizontal Spinner. Emergency and Grog the Warrior are pretty different too, although Grog the Warrior does look pretty nice. Shouldn't the bots actually look like remakes of the originals instead of like totally new bots?
im just waiting for meganerdbomb to come along and kick things into gear.

well, some of the bots were so crappy and horrible thats its nigh impossible to make them look like the original. emergency was a flipper. name one flipper in RA2 stock that will be effective in the combat arena today. (why the combat arena? cause thats where most people fight.)

Wasn't Event Horizon a flipper?

Almost every bot in stock was either a hammer, flipper, or a weak rammer. The only hs was Bezerker. Some bots needed to change designs for the pack to be at all combat worthy.

Adding on to what sage and Scrap Daddy said, we're aiming for almost starcore-level effectiveness. I don't think Big Dog's design in the original game is anywhere near that.

EDIT: By the way, you should do the remake of Coal Miner, MTB. You've built some pretty cool FS'ers in the past.

Yea thats a good idea I can do Coal Miner. I guess you're right that we need some more spinners and stuff, but i still think Sabertooth should be a Jaw bot. A good jaw bot can be a very deadly opponent. EMERGENCY was actually a rammer/flipper hybrid. Spy Guy made a very effective remake that more closely resembled the original.

And I suppose Tornado was a vertical spinner?

Personally, I would prefer a pack with interesting jaw bots in it over a pack full of hs spinners. They are never really very original. If there is one thing great about the stock bots, it's that they are wildly different from each other, and all hs spinners of the same weight class look nearly exactly the same.

If you look at the DSL 2.0 AI, you'll notice the same thing.  Grog is a shell spinner, Lug Nut is a HS, and Wide Load is a drum.  The reason?  Diversity.  There's already Raptor and Deadbeat for HW hammers, but there are no HW spinners in stock AI, so by changing one of the hammers into a shell spinner you get a wider variety of opponents.

That said, Saber Tooth was the only MW jaw bot while REVENGE and Tornado both fill the HS quota, so the decision to make Saber Tooth a HS might be questionable.  But 3 HS's still isn't too much.

But if you just replace all AI with some very good bots, the best that you can do, and even change a lot type and class of some bots, then what will be difference betwin this pack and starcore?........
And i want to remake some bot too, tell me witch one please...
