Title: Hurricane DSL UI Mod
Post by: HurricaneAndrew on April 18, 2010, 10:34:58 PM
I have been playing with the UI on an extra copy of DSL I have and I am wondering if anyone would be interested in a UI mod. This will only mod the UI. Nothing else.

Here is some of what I have done:

It's still rough but you get the point.

I don't care too much for UI looks but this looks really nice.  I like how you matched the buttons with the background picture.

Here is the main screen:

Imagine this with Rock You Like a Hurricane 2000 by Scorpions & Berlin Philharmonic playing in the background. In my opinion, it is pure awesomeness.

Hoping to get this going again...

Here is a small bit that I have done in the past few days.

Just a little update of the "control board destroyed" image.

Nice to see you working on stuff again.

Are you going to mess with the .gib files at all?

I'm not sure how to work with .gib files, but I am willing to learn.

I am currently experimenting by changing things and sees what happens.

^ thats pretty much how I learnt ^

once you get the hang of what effects / does what it becomes easier to manipulate

if you havent seen it already this is my UI I made with .gib editing

I swear that I was eventually going to finish this, but...

Lost all my modded UI files and any programs I used to create the modded UI.

Therefore, Hurricane UI is dead.

Well, apparently I didn't lose quite everything. I was able to find a few of the modded UI files on one of my jump drives, but I still have no way to finish the project without Photoshop. If anyone wants to attempt to finish it, send me a PM and I will send you the files.
