just a quick question- what will you do when/if you dont get "at least 20 teams" ? or not even enough bots to make a standard 45 bot ai pack ?
How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

Then I would wait until I do :P I'm positive at least 20 (19 as I will have a team) people will want to be a part of the AI pack.

So my 2 most unique bots can't go in this? Not worth doing then...

you really need to allow SHW dawg.

require a LW, MW and HW for each team, and then the other 3 can be from AW to SHW

Agree with all those bar 1, 9, 10, and 11.

I've moved to other forums. Under a different name. This is where it all began.

1. The bots must already exist (you must have built them before 5.00am on the 15/9/12 AEST).
2. Everyone gets 1 team of 6 and you must use all 6 slots.
3. You must have at least 3 different weight classes in your team. For example: 2x LW, 2x MW and 2x HW is acceptable but 2x MW and 4x HW is not acceptable.
4. These robots will represent you so they must be your best and/or coolest designs.
5. You must AI your bots and place their bindings in a text file. I can provide basic AI for those who can't AI their own bots.
6. You should PM me all 6 bots, the text file with your teams binding and team motto and the team photo you want to use in a zip/rar file.
7. NO BFE/AAM/Hax/Zero G or any other generally unaccepted glitches.
8. Normal stock building only! No cheatbot(2) parts, hidden AI parts are allowed.
9. Try to submit bots that aren't currently in an AI pack.
10. All robots must show controlled movement and have at least 2 wheels.
11. NO SHW bots, NO FW bots. All bots must be between 120kgs (AW) and 800kgs (HW).
12. This is a stock only AI pack so no custom or DSL parts.
13. I will reject any disgusting images/names/motto's, This pack will represent our community.

1. I agree with the bots existing already. This is supposed to be a historic kind of pack, not a new Starcore pack or something like that.
2. Using all 6 slots might be tough for some people. Maybe if a user really can't come up with 6 they should be allowed to split a team with someone else 3-3
5. You aren't allowed to do AI packs if you won't AI people's bots. This is how it has always been.
9. This is tough because of tournament AI packs. These are the bots that originally concieved this idea, they are famous because they were in tournaments. Ex: You can't have a Kill343 team without Stratocaster (BBEANS AI) First of all it's the only thing I'm known for, and second of all I don't have any other bots.
10. This ties in to 9. Crawlers should be allowed for special occasions. They need to be well known. Sage's Bumblebee if he so chooses, for example.
11. No. Each team should have a LW, MW, and HW. Other three can be anything from AW to SHW

Perhaps we could allow for updates for a version 2.
2. Using all 6 slots might be tough for some people. Maybe if a user really can't come up with 6 they should be allowed to split a team with someone else 3-3
That would be tough considering that we will be using team pics/motto's.
5. You aren't allowed to do AI packs if you won't AI people's bots. This is how it has always been.
Wasn't aware of that, weren't some like re-stocked a joint effort?
Hence the try, I just wanted to see some new bots instead of it being BBEANS AI 2 if you know what I mean.
10. This ties in to 9. Crawlers should be allowed for special occasions. They need to be well known. Sage's Bumblebee if he so chooses, for example.
Perhaps 1 crawler in the pack, but hopefully no complaints about others wanting their crawler in the pack too.
11. No. Each team should have a LW, MW, and HW. Other three can be anything from AW to SHW
This is tough, some people don't build certain weights. I like to stick to the lighter weight classes and I have 0 MW's I can use (I lost Dinner's Ready for good sadly) and I'm sure some people might not have LW's.

Then I would wait until I do :P I'm positive at least 20 (19 as I will have a team) people will want to be a part of the AI pack.
but thats the problem; if you dont get 19/20 teams thisll just gradually lose interest and get buried (not exactly buried since this section isnt as active as say playground, but you get the idea) and never be finished, as you never got 19/20 teams, see life designs ai as example
How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.

15 is still the obvious minimum number of teams needed. Let's sort the rules out first then I'll be ready to receive teams from people and start a list of teams.

I like the idea, but i have a question:

1. The bots must already exist (you must have built them before 5.00am on the 15/9/12 AEST).

could i have made it a long time ago and then tweak it now?

Without them we descend into anarchy. No other bots expect HS/SnS work with only one wheel and those are already OP, I think it's unfair to other types and we don't want people to think they need to build a HS/SnS to win a game/tournament.

"That would be tough considering that we will be using team pics/motto's."

Nobody would be forcing them to split the team. Its up to them.

And honestly just allow SHW and it would be fine.

It's an AI pack to represent members of GTM, not a tourney...
1WD is as much a part of RA2 as popup weaponry.
"No other bots work with razors hidden in their chassis except popups and those are already OP, I THINK it's unfair to other types and we don't want people to think they need to build a popup to win a game/tournament."
Pretty much any distinguishing feature that makes a bot good can fit into that sentence.
Better than GK since 2009.

At least 3 different weight classes, huh?
So.... 1 LW, 1 MW, and 4x HWs?
Seems legit.

I'll get my team together, just gotta' figure out what sort of logo/motto I want.
