idk whether this belongs in technical support or whatevs
but i noticed that DSL 2.1, as perfect as it is, could use a bit of touch up considering Click released a new, better Battlebox and a new Flipper AI, and the firestorm replica is an absolute havok bomb due to the flipper being a bit too light (21 KG if I'm not mistaken)
so, i was going to ask if anyone has made a new better version, or if I'm allowed to do it myself (Fix Firestorm's havok problem, replace the battlebox, switch all the flipper Ai's with the new one maybe even add on a couple of replicas idk)

also there has been the NarmorBeGone thingy. I thought about this too a while ago. there should be some kind of dsl 2.2 with some things fixed like shield mentioned. GoldenFox made an improved Chaos 2 that actually was powerfull like the real one IIRC

I'll get on those two things later.
For now tho, good news. I have at least managed to stop Firestorm's havok parade while still having it at MW. Which I guess is good. I have yet to test the Flipper AI.
Also, I plan on adding on a couple of teams, here are the themes I'm going for:
-Pure Flipper team (Doesn't matter if it's LW, MW or HW, long as it's a IRL flipper it's accepted)
-Pure UHW team (idk why probably gonna crash or at least cause a lot of people's PC's to lag but UHW needs more love)
EDIT: Also, if anyone can give me the link to the new Battlebox that'd be great. And if anyone has the aforementioned updated Chaos 2 that'd be swell.

A DSL equivalant of caster armor, Narmor takes advantage of the odd collision mesh of the skirt hinge component. It involves attaching a series of skirt hinges along a robot's front side and angling them to create a near-impenetrable and largely invisible shield. The advantages over caster armor are, it is much, much lighter, covers more area, and can be attached to slopes easily. The disadvantages are mainly getting trashed by other members (due to its unrealistic characteristics), but also wide wedges tend to get stuck between 2 skirt hinges (somehow like caster armor but worse)

I wouldn't go overboard with arenas. I just suggested Containment Cube because it seems to be a pretty popular arena with tournament hosts.

I know. A couple of these arenas sound pretty cool though.

You can copy the old one from another copy of DSL and just change the file names of the new one? Doesn't take too much work :P

The issue is that the BBEANS2 arena has the same file name as the original bbeans arena, so i had to change it.
i tried editing the py file, but it still crashes.
it happens when i select it and start a match, the screen goes black and it doesn't crash immediately, the cursor is still there and i can move it, but if i press esc it crashes

They share a folder, but the actual files don't conflict. When installing the BBEANS V2 arena, just tell it to overwrite the bbeans folder. Both should work then.

Interesting expansion pack for DSL 2.1. It's nice of you to fix some of the small bugs that it had years ago.
The XTRA bots don't look bad. Barbershop Chop looks like your MW BB6 entry Hurricane.
Edit: Would it be a bad idea to place the MOE motor in the txt file with the Perms and the Judge Burst in the BSG txt file for convenience?

Bots built with those parts would not work in a normal version of DSL 2.1 then.

Not to be rude but please ask before adding other members' mods. I don't mind you using the arena randomizer or original action cam but my concern is that some members may not appreciate the use of their work without their consent (venko for example didn't like tournament hosts putting his bots in AI packs).

Oops.
EDIT: All of the stuff I put in were all made for public use, unless Click has a problem with me editing and or altering DSL, I can't remember using anything I wasn't supposed to. But regardless I've sent Click a PM asking if it's okay.

DSL 2.1.1 is done. Have fun with a game that is essentially almost unchanged save for one extra component and a couple patches. It was fun working on it.
