I know MOST of you know what an air chisel is... I was thinking about it and an air chisel would be a perfect ram bot enhancement...

remember air chisels are only about 4-6 inches long so you dont have to use some huge burst piston to make it...

I have no idea how to make components so I was just throwing it out there...

I was thinking it could be adjustable (if not too big of a pain): 2 hits per second
4hps or 6hps...

On a real air chisel you can adjust the amount of air flow thus changing its effectiveness for whatever the job your doing is... I was just thinking about when you have another bot pinned into a corner or a wall the only why you can do a decent amount of dmg is rock side to side or do what I like to call.. mini-rams.. I think the Air Chisel component would be realleh kewl.

If anyone takes this on... and sees the possibilities as I do... the adjust ability aspect isn't exactly important. But it would need to be on a 'fire' button instead of being on at all times.. and now that I think of it you could make it electric or air considering there are both..

this would be a good DSL addition?? iono...

well, if its not gonna be in DSL, i beleive custom components like that are useless. unless its for botm. i dont see any of the 'possibilities' of this component.

Its for push bots...

Bot A (pushbot) pushes bot B into wall engages air chisel you hold the button it keeps going... 6hps with that evil sound...

I think he means why would you bother with a custom component such as this if its only going to be considered cheating.

well its a good idea however in real life it just sounds good. while i have never biult a full bot in real life i have made i jig to hold several wepon systems. from spinners to the very air powered chisel your asking about. what i found... not effective lol you must hold an EXTRAME amount of pressure to do anything to metal. hoever in game i think it might be not only doable but kinda cool also.

And the idea was considered for a real bot? thats kewl.

I know it doesn't seem practical enough for a real bot but still it doel seem really cool to me aswell.
