Title: Clash Cubes AI Pack

Clash Cubes AI pack will not be like a traditional AI pack but rather a pack for people to see how there bots would have fared against others they didnt face or test new creations for future Clash Cubes events. The pack will include all past and current competitors from Clash Cubes 1 and Clash Cubes 2, it will also feature 2 Bonus teams, Lost World and Team CC. Each team will have a lightweight (qualifying bot), heavyweight (cc1 bots) and 2 shw's (cc2 bots)

And maybe you could just make 'em like RAW bots - just use Clash Cubes bots as the name and make multiple teams of the same name. :P

Oh, and don't forget to include the bindings. :D

it is an AI pack... so they will all be AI'd  velocity is filled up, basically the winner of cc2 will go into cube legends and please die will then be added to a team

by all means, its your bot after all, this isnt a competition for your AI pack (that would be a loosing battle for me haha) this is just for people to set up AI matches to see how there bot would have gone against others and test there new entries against qualifying bots

I guess your wondering about there being more teams then little cube bots ? well there are some more coming for CC3 annnnd are included as a bonus for the CC AI pack.. here are the first 2

Lumber Cube - fire axes perfectly balance it meaning it won tip over by itself

Nitro Cube - the flame thrower is there for show it fires when the robot goes forwards, backwards, left or right.

unsure how many this gives me but one thing I found out is that there is only 13 teams is not enough for the AI (I think 14 is needed) so might have to think something else up

I think I have enough for team filling and for CC3 .... also cube with tracks ??? like Cube Tank from cc1 ?

anyone noticed team Clash Cubes yet ? basically I was a team short for the minimum amount of 15 so I dug up my flipper cluster bot that I had prepared encase the CC2 brackets didn't fill up and finished them off... there most likely complete garbage but I like the look of them, they are now in my DSL showcase

also a little teaser of what the UI will look like (still needs some tweaking)

first off why did you post it here ?

second go into the DSL file, go to robot design and copy and paste all those files and your done (you should always export your best robots for safe keeping)

on the whipping time is was originally a pun as all the bots were going to be whippers but I like whoopin' time better

I think so. DSL didn't even need to rename the music for the game to play them. But I think the game plays them alphabetically.

I agree with the text I was working on it still... there was a lot of orange/ red designs so I was trying to go for something with a little more variation

added in all team names, logos and slogans to the game from what I currently have (check the first post to see what is still needed) the AI will overwrite the normal AI so for the team logos I just edited the existing logos with the new ones (so same file name) this is so when you apply the AI pack your AI file wont have 40 or so pictures in it

I can do it.. I did the Clash Cubes 2 arena but after hours of working on it (double checked everything) I finally compiled it only to find no transparency for the crowd walls ?? my only concern is that happening for the combat zone

I dont really se the point the whole idea for the pack was too simulate your own cc matches not really expand it like DSL (and CC3 arena isnt done yet 'hint hint'

You notice that the only one wanting more is the same one that was saying you screwed up their bot in CC2? In my opinion, that vote shouldn't count...

Anyway, I wouldn't worry about the arenas. So #1, I guess.

I think i will just over write the combat zone (will edit the py so its no longer called the combat zone) that's simple easy and I don't think people will miss the combat zone (I recommend you should apply this pack to a new copy of DSL 2.1)

well I already had a dinosaur for Lost world and didn't really want to move into ships.. the idea was originally for heavy metal but then I used HA's design

When I was trying to make the Hidden Weapon logo, I was going to just have one of those black mystery boxes (cube?). Ya'know, with the question mark.

i was trying to make one with a measuring tape but it didn't look any good...the Tank one was originally for heavy metal so if you can come up with something better for Think Big I will use the tank for Heavy Metal

im nearing completion of a Beta so (not meaning to copy inf) will need 1 or 2 Beta testers to ensure everything is all working...experience is AIing is not required nor do you have to solve any problems (unless you want to) what you need to basically do is

nah that would be good if you could Craaig ... like I said i only really need people to take the time and just try out everything.. mainly as I built the AI pack in a clean DSL 2.1 but when I put it into pack form I wont include everything as a lot will come with DSL so you just checking if the game works correctly when the pack is applied... any AI problems will most likely be picked up by H@zm47 anyway as hes probably a better AI'er then me :icon_tongue:

@ Naryar: i thought it was a good idea so the pack isnt released to the public with problems.. everything can be fixed before the public has at it

cubinator was meant to be an SnS but I didn't know a whole lot of AIing at the time so when Ianh05 changed the bindings i didnt know to change the bots controls

@somebody: I was thinking about including those but then people make try to use them in tournaments... I edited the txt files so they are hidden (haven't tried to see if they appear with cheatbot2)

the list of hidden additions include:

Beetle Bros Monster Wheels
D1 Pack Reaper Arms
A custom battery (for some little cube bots)
A custom motor (for some little cube bots)

the list of not hidden additions include:

clash cubes anti ballast (block)
clash cubes anti ballast (caster)
clash cubes anti ballast (smartzone)

thanks.. another update I was thinking of doing was modifying COID to have it as a Sheck spinner/ SnS hybrid (that is wire the bot to turn and spin at the same time) this would basically make the shell spin faster and when the bot is being counted out it would stop all spinning (including the shell) and move forward or back to break the count.

what do people think ?

believe me when I say a lot of preparation work is going into CC3 but it wont be running as close as CC2 did to CC1.. I am going to space it our a bit more (I have another tournament idea I am going to do next)

CCAI is just around the corner so watch this space :-D
