CFZ to unhide 140 cm extender
« on: May 02, 2010, 03:52:14 PM »
I just finished this, it will unhide the 140 cm extender.
https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/7066Components.zip

Just overwrite your components.cfz. Also, make a copy of your original components.cfz so if something goes wrong.

How come we fix the weight of the 140 cm round extender and not the 140 cm square extender? I say leave them both as is. We should have to suffer some weight for what amounts to floating wedges.

I changed it so the round one is 35kg, that's what I mean't when I said I was fixing the weight.

I didnt get the extenders with that components.cfz, only the beta redbird became unlocked and its weirdly only 4kgs. Also it can pass trough chassis quite alot and doesnt seem to hit ground either when its attached to the baseplate.

The extenders should be under the Round Extender and Square Extender. Also, That is how the beta redbird is.

was this in the components CFZ originally ? I never knew about them ?

I will download when I get the time and take a look..

I will say modifying them makes them custom parts technically doesnt it ? same argument when a second vertical attachment point was wanted on a green snapper

The extenders were originally in the CFZ, they needed to be added to the styles line in the Round Extender.txt and Square Extender.txt. The beta redbird needed a .txt though.

The beta Redbird has a strange attachment point, it attaches horizontally and can pass trough the bottom of the baseplate and will not collide with the floor under, this will definetly change how LW HSes are built.

The thing about the extenders and motor for me is that I have 2 of every stock component in my listm but there was 3 redbirds after applying this cfz and there was no changes in any of the extender lists or any additional ones appearing.

sounds like the new CFZ doesn't overwrite the old or has all the components twice in it ?

Pretty sure that you have to delete the original cfz. remember someone saying that...

Just in case someone doesn't understand but might be helped by knowing:
Each txt tells the exe to make an in-game component slot, even if it's not addressed to a component folder.
So if there are multiple in-game slots for the same component, then there are duplicate txt's; either in the cfz(s), and/or in the 'Components' folder txts(which could have different names).
Input is appreciated. :)

Seems like I can't attach my beta redbird through the bottom of the chassis... Strange? Or am I simply misunderstanding?
