Title: BubbleBots AI
Post by: Bubbleman on July 29, 2011, 04:02:00 AM
Well, i think i've been working on it long enough to show it... so;
BUBBLEBOTS AI IS HERE!
Intended to bridge the gap between stock and starcore 3. I used the stock chassis, and built to around 3/5 of my capability.
Bots are built to use the same ai, except Ronin, who is now a flipper because i didn't know what else to do with him.

I need around 5 beta testers, ideally ones who can ai, because I have a little problem with the bindings/names. If you're fighting against the ai, build to half your capabilities, as this is intended for newbies.
New music as well!

Comment on how generic this is on what you would like to see here!

To be perfectly honest, I don't think we need it

why? i thought that it would be better for newbies to see bots they knew, instead of bots that aren't familiar to them.

But, I struggle to see who would want this

We already have newbie AI packs, SC1&2, RFS etc

One thing I would say to anyone, is to not create an AI pack without a good idea on what specifically you are targeting, and whether or not there is something already like that. AI packs are a lot of hard work, and people are only going to download what they need/want, not an AI pack from every single member on the forums :P

Not trying to put you down Bubbles, but if you are going to make an AI pack, it is generally necessary that you can AI :P

I can ai, just not to a high standard.
Ah well. this was actually a leaving present.
Yup. i'm leaving for about 6 months, due to builders block, and huge family issues, plus RA2 is getting a bit boring anyway.
So long for now, GTM.
Well, nice to have had you around Bubbles :D

I think it's good you've put a lot of work into something and finished it, unlike a lot of AI packs around which will never get finished (Just to confirm, this is NOT a DSL/Backlash reference.)

I would test but I'm pretty damn busy, sorry. Looks sweet though :)

Trouble with the bindings. I can't see any errors with it, but thats just me ;)
Can I get some help with it? [/asking for beta testers]

We don't need 50 awfully averagely built AI packs between stock and starcore 1.

It's not Awfully average, just a fun idea i had that developed into an AI/UI&music pack

I would test to for any problems :P
I can AI and test.
ok. PM'ing you the file now, although it may take a bit of configuring to get it working. The bindings is the problem.
