Well, it's been a while coming, but here it is. BTTB 1 AI, featuring all bots, including Promo Bots and Atomic, from the first of my tournament series. Arenas are included too.

BTTB 3 AI is now out. This version must be installed over the BTTB 1 AI. I'll release a standalone with some other easter eggs.

When i try to paste the bindings (AdDON) to the original bindings it says that it cant save because it has changed?

Is your bindings.py file read-only?

Also, this will be updated for BTTB 3 in the next few days.

aww..

If the BTTB 3 AI was released sooner I could have used it for the tourney but now it's just too late.

Unless noone sends and I have to use 8 of the bots from this...

My .py file is read only so it won't save

Is this for Starcore or the original stock?

Did you backup the AI folder? Go onto that for the moment. Do all bots crash?

I believe I found the problem. Install BTTB 3 AI again if you uninstalled it, and go into the AI folder. Then go in team24, and delete all the files except Bot0.bot

My guess was actually due to the mass of DSL AI packs out now.. but anyway

Will download later if I can make space lol... starting to get back into building stock so need to brush up on my skills..

4 1/2 YEAR DOUBLE POST ALERT

Nobody's really asked for it and it's 4 years late, but RedAce doing that BTTB display tourney in stock has motivated me enough to put this AI Pack (https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=241) together. I've actually had quite a lot of fun today as I went back through my old stuff, so that's made it worthwhile even if nobody downloads it.

What Is Included?

- All 25 BTTB 2 Bots
- All 31 BTTB 4 Bots
- All 4 bots used in the BTTB 2 promo
- The two Twiiisted Arenas

I've been through and updated the AI on any bots I think especially need it (Mostly just correcting sloppy turnspeed jobs). I have forgotten anything I did know about poor old Magmatic Evolution so it's still pretty hopeless, but hey, you can replicate how it was in the tournament.

After BTTB V I'll rerelease the stock AI packs as a single standalone containing all 3 tournaments' bots. When I downloaded them recently I found a bunch of things I need to fix as well so I can do that.

Please continue to sue this thread if any technical hitches arise. They shouldn't, as I tested on a clean DSL 2.1 install. But who knows?

satanist may be the wrong word. But self-hating, sure. There's a few bots that are pretty expert at getting stuck in circles for the whole match. I'm looking at you, Minimus, Altifood, Popit, WTFHEAD

Announcing the new and improved Stock BTTB AI. I've tried to do a better job with this one, my previous packs have essentially been bot dumps. This is a proper AI pack.

BTTB Stock AI (https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=243)

Featuring:
- 13 new, themed AI teams comprising:
- All 17 bots from Back to the Beginnings (Plus the original version of Doomkiller's The Black Knight).
- All 31 bots from BTTB 3.
- All 22 bots from BTTB V.
- The 4 promo bots used in the promos for Stock BTTB tournaments.
- Updated AI code for a variety of bots, mostly fixing my bodgy AI work from 4-5 years ago.
- Both versions of the Twiiisted Arena as used in the tournament series, updated with new python files, previews and CUSTOM INTRODUCTIONS. These superscede any old versions of the arena available for d/l up to this point.
- Some funky new UI stuff - I learned .gib editing and everything.
- Madiaba's smartzones.
- A couple of easter eggs, if you can find them.

UI is provided in 4 resolution sizes - 1280x1024x32, 1024x768x32 (default), 800x600x32 & 640x480x32. If there is sufficient interest I will create UI modifications for other resolutions.

lol, I had too much fun making that. So, so stupid, so, so bad. And at the same time, it wasn't planned. Just kinda... happened while recording the arena intros. Most of it was improvised as I was recording it as well, I didn't write any of it down beforehand, except the last bit about razors, because I fluffed it up the first time.

It was mostly down to the shape of the bot fitting the space :P
