With a blackbird, does your lightweight spaz out like my lightweights do? The motors just seem to be too fast for them. I have to settle with the lowest speed to get it controlled.

add some stabilizers and maybe extra armor, OR make a larger chassis so it is both tougher and the chassis acts as stabilizers.
You could probably add some armour above/below/behind the chassis if the wheels allow/if you switched to larger wheels.

Also, die hard batteries weigh 10kg for 20 amps and duracells weigh 2.5 for 10 amps, so use them instead them downgrade the armour and add protection
