Oh BTW I lost the skins so you're gonna have to make them yourself, but it aint' too hard, just a slight level change in Paint.NET

I did say, if you're reskinning stuff, that's your responsibility, you'll have to make the components and send them. You still have almost 3 weeks anyway.

16 days to go, not one bot received. I hope it's because you're all busy making some lovely stuff. :P

Remember, every bot entered gets into PokAImon too! :D
(And winner might get some major credit in the game or something cool like that, I don't know)

They can be effective to a degree (see Dugtrio) but if there's something that's just gonna sweep everything (as Kill suggested), I'm not cool with that.

I don't think Urjak plays or even played pokemon anyways. It's not his generation :P

Also, my Gyarados idea is fleshing out. I'm probably going to make it's tail a complex flail with large blue skinned drums for the snakelike body, linked by 45 degree flails (let's hope AGOD doesn't rears his ugly head)  and 3 Killalot drills for the tail itself.

Probably will use four lightning teeth for it's mouth for Tackle attacks, with a flamethrower inside (Dragon Rage). I am also wondering if I should make him use Bite with a very short vertical hammer.

I am also going to try and put taunts for different actions of my bot. "GYARADOS used BITE !" (hammer fires) "GYARADOS used FLAIL !" (starts to sit-and-spin and whack with it's tail), Tackle (simple ram), and Dragon Rage (flamethrower). So my pokémon actually has 4 legal attacks.

Also I wonder if Craaig will let me use the Darkrat scything blades in NAR AI (the S-shaped ones) for Gyarados's barbels. Of course, they will be modified so they don't do any damage.

It would also be awesome if we can make that tourney looking more like a pokémon battle. Examples would be pokémon battle music playing in the arena, messages "Critical hit ! TAUROS fainted !" (respectively when some bot gets his control board damaged and destroyed), the annoying little ding-ding when a bot is critically low on HP, Pokémon "hit" sounds being used rather than the stock RA2 ones.

I realize that's a lot of work though, but it would just make the tourney more awesome. For me, I would be willing to wait more or even lend a hand to Craaig to do this.

The AI is going to be a bitch but I think I can pull it out.

I can manage the music and ding-ding definitely (in Movie Maker, I imagine), who knows about the other bits though. The hits could probably be replaced quite easily, but the messages, I don't know.

And yes, I'll let you use those as long as they're all modified. I love the effort you're putting into this, thank you :D makes it all worth it.

Well crap... Gyarados's serpentine, slithering body and just LENGTH is going to be much harder than I thought to replicate precisely and at scale. As I want something really good looking, I think I have no choice but to use BFE and moar custom components and make it a bit like the DSL replicas.

I will keep it's damage potential to a reasonable level though, and will strive to make it the coolest looking and most faithful pokemon replica of all !
