How are you transferring RA2 between the two computers (flash drive, seperate installs, etc.)?

Assuming that you are using the same files as him, does the game still play on your brother's computer after seeing this error on yours?

Have you tried updating your sound and video drivers?

It may look like you have too much crap on your computer (malware, adware, worms, etc). Download Malwarebytes' Antimalware (google for it), run it and scan your hard drive.

Missing a file wouldn't throw this sort of error, I think (I'd rather expect a C++ runtime exception, since as far as I can tell the initial file loading code of RA2 is quite robust).

you are trying a totally unmodded version from Sage's sig,.. and it still won't work on your comp?
